Didn't know where to post this, but I'd like to know the part numbers and prices. These are the tools that hold the cam wheels from moving during a timing belt install. I know they aren't necessary, but am still curious. Thanks for any help.

$Texas whe one was broken at the dealership I worked at. You don't need the part number though- the tools are ordered through Kent-Moore (you can't get them from the dealership). Just call them, tell them what you need, get the Vaseline, and go from there .

Do you know how much they were?
Could I just stuff a small rubber wedge in there or even a nut and bolt with two washers, one on each side so they can't move?

Some of the techs cut an old belt, wrap it around the sprockets, and clamp it to prevent the cams from moving. The Kent Moore tools aren't always the best solution to a problem, but usually are the most expensive one :).

Well, that's rediculous. Can EJ207, or any EJ20 valves even touch each other when the cams spin freely with no timing belt on?
