i got turbo + supporting mods on the way, and i'm really thinking about buying an alky kit before my tune date. i was wondering if a stage 1 kit without the progressive controller will fit my needs or should i just save a little more and get the controller? is the progressive kit that much better and easier to tune? or should the stage 1 kit work just as well? i'm so confused!

It depends on what you want, and what you do with it. You can probably get close to the same if not the same performance with a sno/coolingmist stage 1 kit as you can with their progressive kits(if the kits are used with map based flow) as long as you use the right nozzle. Imo the extra money for a controller that only uses map pressure to determine flow is a waste unless you're running like 50psi of boost.

thanks for the quick replies! also i was wondering what size nozzle would match my mods. i'm thinking i'll have 280~300whp on 93oct after the tune at topspeed. what size nozzle do you believe would match?

Nozzle size will depend greatly on the kit you choose, pump pressure and variable controller vs fixed flow rate. I would refer to the manufacturer of the kit you are going to purchase to make sure you get the right one.

This is something that you should ask your tuner, but I would think that 3-6gph would be good.
