Hello all,

Well I have a slight dillema on my hands and need some resolution. The GPmoto headers I have do NOT have a 02 sensor bung for the 02 sensor. I contacted GPmoto and they will not get back with me. Should i just unplug the 02 sensor? Will this cuase the ecu to freak out and subtract/add fuel? I am also running a utec. what is everyone else doing about this?

Pick up a steel bung, weld it on, problem solved. Kind of an inconvenience though :(

Yah thats what i plan on doing. Doesnt anyone find this as odd? The thing is i bought this header used so like does that mean the guy just never ran his front 02 sensor?

that 02 sensor is vital for closed loop fueling, how in gods earth does this company get away with selling one without that bung?

curiousity got the best of me. here is a gpmoto header. looks like a 02 sensor bung to me.

Well guys I just dug up an old post about a guy doing a gpmoto twin scroll. BTW: mine is a twin scroll that link is a single inlet. I found that it looks likr that o2 sensor is located right behind the turbo! he put a gt40 on his and my holset atcually maybe looks a bit larger lol. anyway I am gonna see if i can but their downpipe and modify it.

the post you were looking at is prolly a WB 02 sensor (most commonly placed 6-8 inches after the turbo) and not the OEM front 02 sensor.

as someone else suggested, bring it a shop that knows how to weld and get a bung welded on right before the UP. that is where it's supposed to go. any experienced welder should be able to do that in no time flat.

I am almost positive its the front o2, At first glance I did think it was the wideband as I have one. The color coding for that o2 sensor in the downpipe is the same as whats in the header! I will post pics in a bit

well i think it's closer to the block for reaction time purposes... FHI put it where it is for reason.

it may very well work fine there... if it were my build i would be installing it in the OEM location though.

thanks for the input I think im gonna try to run it right off the turbo since their is no collector for the header that see all 4 cylinders.

Factory twin scroll o2 is right after the turbo. Thats the first location where it can sense from all cylinders.

FHI put it on the downpipe for the V8 JDM STi and the US 91-93 Legacy Turbo. After the turbo is a good place for the oxygen sensor.

cool well thats good to know. I will have to have like 3 bungs in my downpipe now lol. one for front o2 and then my wideband and then rear o2.
