Jan 23rd Install/Mini meet at Continental Subaru

On Jan23rd the Continental Subaru Service Department would like to invite anyone with an itching for mods to be installed to come on in and have them installed. Work will be performed by appointments only so please PM Mavrik or Getagrip or call Phil at 261-0602 or Jake at 261-0633 to schedule. If you call us, mention it is for outlaw night so we can schedule you differently from our regular phoned in service appointments. We will be providing service work such as alignments, suspension work (springs, swaybars, endlinks etc), tires, brakes, as well as performance parts like Cobb and SPT. There will also be refreshments available. This will be from 6pm to 9pm on tuesday Jan 23rd. Jerry (00maddog) Dale, and Alex (GrinderAK) will be performing the work. Mike (tribalwrx) will be in parts.

The fine details:
Refreshments will be provided
Appointments required
Hourly labour rate $75 an hour
Alignment price out the door $59.95 (camber bolt kits will be extra but at the discounted labour price)
15% discount on ALL parts over the counter to NASIOC members ONLY this night ONLY.You will not be able to work on your vehicle with the techs but we will allow everyone to hang out in a designated spot in the shop so they can see their cars being worked on.
Due to safety reasons you will not be allowed to work on your car or be under it when it is being worked on.
This is an offical meet sponsered by Continental Subaru so all NASIOC members are welcome to attend even if you do not have anything to be worked on.
Estimates will be honored at Outlaw night prices even if work is not performed. As long as it was written on Outlaw night.

New Information

We have one complete spring kit from Cobb available that we are offering at special price installed only on Outlaw night.
Regular price installed for this Cobb Sport Spring kit is $1131.95
We are offering this kit installed on outlaw night only at $617.45.
This kit will fit 2004 and newer Impreza models. We only have 1 kit available at this time. This is a great price as you can see by the difference in regular price and outlaw night price.
This price also includes four wheel alignment.

yep, glad Conti is supporting the a/m crew. at least we can do all things a/m in a better more reliable way.. rather than messing up our cars. LOL besides, would be smart for them, they can make some decent money and make sure our cars are being well maintained. :)

Well this will be the first outlaw night Continental will be hosting. Depending on its success or otherwise will depend on how many more we'll have. While we are of course encouraging everyone to come on out, this is a night to install parts and perform work on your vehicles. So who wants some work done?

This is a good idea! I would love to schedule an alignment, and possibly a set of Group N engine/tranny mounts. But, I can't probably get there before 7:45-8pm, due to my work schedule.... in Soldotna.

How much would it cost(parts) for the 2 engine mounts + 1 tranny mount? How about install time? If you think this could work, I'll PM the formal request. Thanks.

scott, might as well get the pitch stop while you're at it, it has to be removed to install the other 3 mounts.

More people will be willing to have stuff installed during summer. Mods are not the best thing to do this time of year. You can't see what they do for performance in this weather. Phil could you PM me a price for installing rear brake lines and a full brake bleed? I will provide the fluid. Thanks

edo2000
01-09-2007, 01:27 AM
I'll definitely have an alignment done.... I hate to admit it but I punched it into the ditch pretty deep the other night. Took several tugs with my pickup and big nylon strap to drag it out... wife is still ticked, since she was riding with me at the time. Had to shovel snow to get her door open.

I never did hear back on how much labor is involved in the eng/tranny/pitch mount remove and replace...?

I have an insane amount of ice balled up on my control arms and on my passenger side wheels. (i dont know why only one side either, I spin both ways) When I get it all off after a few more underbody sprays at the carwash and it still drives like an ox cart I'll jump on this deal. Or I may anyway... Will decide by friday. It is very very tempting.

The warm(er) weather today will help alot. :)

AKLGT

Mike, Phil,

In answer to your question Mike, the kit will fit a forester. However we only have 1 kit in stock and it is for an Impreza Sedan. The issue with this kit is that it will cause the forester's back end to sit a little lower. You would need to check with our parts department to see if wagon ones are available because that will balance the ride height.

If this is something you would like, call our parts department and talk to Mike. Or PM Mavrik (me) to set up an appointment. Of course we can not perform everything that night but parts ordered and quotes given that night will be honored when the parts come in and work is performed.

might have a dp come that time, talked to 03_blk_wgn about gettin the catted helix in the buy and sell thread. ^_^

***EDIT***

I might need to get the car checked out also. The check engine light has been on for a while and isnt going away like it normally does. The car acts perfectly normal, but stillgot the light. I dont normally mind it but I got pulled over the other day cause I cant use cruise... No ticket but still, my mind wanders and cruise is my safety! It should still be under factory warranty and all, Im just on a pretty strict budget right now. (The DP is an exception at this time)

Oh and since ALL items will be discounted, does it include the Accessport? (Not that I have money, just curious)

Mavrik
01-11-2007, 10:45 PM
that discount includes the AP

pulled over because you can't use your cruise control?

If you are looking to order one on Outlaw night then just come in and place an order over the parts counter with Mike. He will get you set up with the discount but you will need to pay freight. We are not ordering parts in advance to be picked up on outlaw night unless they are being installed on outlaw night here. Or you are from out of the anchorage area. By that we mean an a several hour drive in would be required. All those still need to be run past the parts manager. See parts for details

so as long as I buy something (springs), I can schedule an appointment later on to have it installed and it will still be the special rate for labor?

yes, it should:

Estimates will be honored at Outlaw night prices even if work is not performed. As long as it was written on Outlaw night.

oh yeah, duh. Hey by the way, nice sti swap. I was pondering whether or not to do that when the cash flow pours on me. How much for all of the parts, well for me, how much would it cost me? You have got to take me for a ride, so I know how much I'm missing out on the sti package.

you just have to keep your eyes open for any good deals. Ralph would send me PM's if he found a good price on something. i just kinda got lucky/stumbled upon it. so, it worked out well. when the weather warms up and you can actually get a good feel for it, i'll take you for a spin. afterall, i still have not taken the LegaSTI wagon out yet. ;)

I think I'll have to name my car "the Hornet".

This was a great event. Thanks to all who organized it, and for those who were working. Big thanks for Alex for doing a "boring" mod. Thanks to all who helped.

Sorry I skipped out early, tomorrow is my gf's surgery, so I figured I'd better get home and stuff. I'm shy, so I didn't chat with many, but it was good talking to those that I did, a good distraction from tomorrow. Good luck to those who were getting Cobb Stage 2. Stay safe.;)

Time to decide on my future catback....

Well, I got home, it sounds great  and it friggin' LEAPS from about 3,000 rpm to 5,500 in NO time at all, even in the higher gears. Can't wait to do that in all the gears this summer with traction. Now about that stage 2 suspension......

Gotta thank everyone who helped. It was a REALLY expensive cheeseburger, but the free stage two was a nice addition:D

What a wonderful evening! It been a long time since I've been to a Subaru meet of sorts. Everything went pretty smoothly. I want to thank everyone who came for the service work, the food, and to check us out in the shop. I really hope we do this again.

Continental Service and Parts team would like to thank all those who came out and made this first Outlaw night a great success. Being the first event we knew we would have some bugs to iron out so thankyou to those that endured that portion of the night. :) Thanks to you all last night, we will definatly be hosting many more Outlaw nights to come. I would also like to personally thank the techs who stayed late and got everything done.

We'll see you at the next one.

Again, a big thankyou to all.
