I have two sets of heads with differing part numbers. Both are supposedly from an EJ205 but they are different enough to make me wonder...
First set of heads came on an EJ205 that I purchased in Canada. First noticeable difference was the shimless buckets..
Cast Markings on the head: RHS20003
Camshaft caps: 1E376 and 1I376
Exhaust Cam: F47
Intake Cam: FF4
P/N on intake surface: C810203
Second set of heads also came from Canada as a freebie with the above motor. They appear to have been rebuilt and cleaned up. No decking or valve job is evident.
These heads have shims.
Cast Markings on the head: RHS20003
Camshaft caps: 1EKP & 1IKP
Exhaust Cam: CY4
Intake Cam: C16
P/N on intake surface: C646875
Summary: Cast Markings on the head are the same. Cam caps are labeled "I" for intake and "E" for exhaust on both sets.. but I'm a little puzzled as tot he difference between the "376" and "KP." Part numbers on the cams are different between the sets as is the head marking. The big difference is obviously the shimless buckets on the motor verses the shimmed on the spare set of heads.
Any ideas? Significant differences?
Thanks,
Fitz
