choice 1: SOHC ej25 heads with TWE springs/retainers and stage II cams
choice 2: STi ver. 5 stock rebuilt heads.

I am at a crossroads. On one side I feel for now that the sohc would perform better but that the DOHC heads would be better to build on in the future...lookin for some conversation.

People have made good power with the SOHC's and have rev'd them pretty high in NA applications. Are the cams a custom turbo grind? or are they for a NA motor?
