I was curious to where one can buy just the STi block from. From some research it seems you can get them for around $500??

I wasn't looking for a custom built block, which are are all over the place.

Appreciate any help tracking a place down.

:)

a brand new sti shortblock is 1500-1700 and it is ready to drop in to a car. a used shortblock is maybe 600-900 or so, depending on condition. a bare case... if you can find one, i dont know, but they are really expensive new.
ej20 wrx blocks are considerably cheaper.
hope that helps,
bryan

Cylinder block or short block (ie. with internals)? I just bought a new EJ257 cylinder block for just over 700 US$ excl. shipping.

I was actually just trying to help out Howard ARFabrication.com he wants to buy a bunch for the shop. I figured there has to be somewhere that has used ones in good shape.

Anyone?
