I have been checking out your board for a couple of days and I have already gotten some good info, but I do have a question.

I live in Colorado and have JC Sports not too far from my work. I see posts with info on a lot of products and shops on this board, but no mention of JC. I was wondering if there was any reason for this? I am considering getting one of their intakes and the N1 short throw shifter.

Any info on the quality of their products and/or services would be appreciated.

Oh, yeah... I have a '01 RS I bought in October (already put almost 18,000 miles on her (ouch)).

products are OK. The service BLOWS! They suck for customer service for the whole country, but supposedly are pretty good for the locals.

The best approach to finding out about them is to do a search especially in the Vendor Classifieds. You will find alot of information so that you can make an informed desision as to whether you would like to do bussiness with them. And as to why you don't see much metion of them on the club is because they have been banned from the club by the Imprezidents. If you read the Turbo GB in the Vendor forum which will come up in the search you will find out why they have been banned. Hope this helps.

The guys at JC are great... they have spent time talking to me about my car after hours when I pulled up late and they where on there way home. They know a lot about Subaru they may have more experience putting turbos on them than anyone else. And it is a local shop. I am not sure which parts I will get from them. like any one they can not always have the best price, and I like the higher gains that some other people have been getting with other companies but, JC seems to be a good compromise between max power and a good price. Yes They have an unresolved GB on the club, but a lot of turbo GB's have not gone good, I think almost every vender that has offered them has had a bad one at some time, especially when you look at turbo buys. I think they might be able to work on there online support a little bit. but don't count them out. Go down and talk to them, if they have what you want then get it.

To reiterate what has been said before, if your a local then they cant be beat. But if your doing mail order forget it!, Search through the archives for the JC Sports stories. Honestly, if I was a Colorado native I'd have them do a turbo for me.

I just got lightly toasted buying an exhaust. I ordered a SS cat back Resonated exhaust, what I was sent was an aluminized non resonated. The packing slip had the correct part. No big deal... But it's louder than I wanted. They did refund the price difference. But it will definitly make me think twice about ordering again. Now I'll have to get a silencer to stick in the end of it... or I hear a turbo will quiet it down..

They are liars and crooks. They have commited fraud.

They were banned for these reaons and that is why you won't find them here.

Thanks for the input everybody. I have checked several of the old threads. They were more exciting than the Microsoft vs Linux debates! Hope they get their act together, but seems like it might be too late for a lot of people.

Thanks again

My personal experience with JC Sports isnt bad at all. But then again, I did not order a turbo kit from them (I did get it [tubro kit] off someone who wrecked their car though). I did wait quite awhile for my sway bar in their intake/sway bar group buy awhile back but whatever...anyways, when I called, the phone was answered very fast and the guys there were friendly in helping me fix my burning oil prob. they sent me out a new oil pan asap.

that is the most ive dealt with JC Sports.
