I didn't know where to post this, but figured someone here could help.
On drives over 30 minutes, my shoulders and neck get very sore. I've tried moving the seat closer, raising and lowering the steering column, and changing the seatback angle, but nothing works for long.
In most cars I'm comfortable driving (BMW 3-series, Acuras, Mustangs), the driver's seat is lower than mine (I have a fixed-height '01 RS coupe). I've considered getting seats with height adjustment (like a stock WRX driver's seat), and putting it lower than my current setup, but I want to understand if this would be the right thing to do.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate some advice!
Thanks!

odd...i love the seats in my car... could be a little more bolstered but i have no comfort complaints. You might want to ask a doctor.. I knew a guy that always went to the chriopractor until the chiro saw his car which was a VR4 3000GT...sold the car and BOOM back problems went bye bye.

Just my $.02

I'd like firmer seats in my car with more side bolstering...but I guess that's what Sparcos are for...

I had a strange pain in my neck, after getting my scooby. I had no idea where it came from then I noticed a equally odd cramp on my face. Then it dawned on me...the neck pain was from the acceleration g's, comming from a Honda civic and Toyota camry, my neck muscles were not used to this kind of load. The face cramp was from the big stupid grin on my kisser! :D

I've experienced a like thing, but in my wife's Integra, not my GT. Her car had been the 'good car' until I got the Subie, so it was the car we drove on road trips. My shoulders & neck would get very sore after an hour or two of driving. I attributed it to the seat's upper bolsters being narrower than my shoulders, so I'd wind up with my shoulders pushed forward in the seat. After a while, it'd really start to ache. Sadly, I found no cure for it -- save not driving it.

So, I guess that this whole post of mine was rather pointless, no?
