This is the first time I'll be changing the tires on my car and I have no idea where to go. Anyone know of anywhere good in the san jose area to get them installed and balanced? And how much should it cost? I'm getting SP SPORT 5000's from tirerack for the winter (trips to portland and tahoe).

Check Tire Rack's installation section about where you can tires installed. I am sure that they have a few places for San Jose where you can get those put on your car.

Auto Innovations in Milpitas does good work. we had a big RE-730 group buy installed by them a little while back.
