Been running 5w30 vavoline during breakin. Have 10k on the block now. Doesn't burn any oil. Should i stay with it or switch to synthetic and if so which one?

I plan on putting Motul through mine when the time comes to switch to synthetic... I find that Amsoil does pretty well for my stock engine as well, so I wouldn't mine using that either in a pinch... But i think Motul 5w40 will be the one i stick with when possible.

this is almost too stupid to suggest, but have you asked axis what they recommend?

It is more of a personal preference than anything else. Personally I would never run synthetic oil in a race motor, but that is just me.

Yeah, hands down, this is the final answer. Don't ask everyone else what they'd do, ask the person who built the product you're using.
