I have a o5 wrx , blew third gear. I have 20,000 miles and the car is very clean, with no third gear.

Will the dealer fix if it is all stock?

are you asking if
you take the all the mods of the car and take it back to stock
would the dealer fix it for free?
they might but some things the dealer can tell if they have been removed
and reinstalled
then the dealer would diff not fix it for free

Depends on the mods and the condition of the gear. 9 times out of 10 if the gear is completely stripped, your warrany coverage will be denied. If you are under 21 years old, you can raise that to 10 out of 10 times.

reset your ECU, and play dumb as to it not being drivable and you not know what is wrong. It is under warrenty and is bone stock like you said.

Curious what you were doing though, I upgraded mine to 05k 3rd and 4th with ppg straight cut 1st and 2nd been in there over a year no problems and it's not stock. :D

If you are a good customer, have a nice service department, and the car is indeed stock, then you have a chance.

If the car has been returned to stock, more often than not it's painfully clear that's what has happened once they get under the hood, and they almost certainly will not cover it.

If you have a nice service department, and you are up-front and honest with them, they might try to help you out.... really depends on the dealer.

Maybe the dealer declined coverage due to mods or abuse......

No chance of warranty coverage if ANY of the teeth on that gear are stripped. SOA deems it abuse.

Just an idea, maybe some dealer is suspicious of someone who brought their car in and is trying to get someone on here to say "that happened to me too!" and admit something.
