Will the dealer fix if it is all stock? The_Black_WRX 01-15-2007, 08:56 PM are you asking if you take the all the mods of the car and take it back to stock would the dealer fix it for free? they might but some things the dealer can tell if they have been removed and reinstalled then the dealer would diff not fix it for free steve p.s. that is also considered fraud Unabomber 01-15-2007, 09:19 PM Depends on the mods and the condition of the gear. 9 times out of 10 if the gear is completely stripped, your warrany coverage will be denied. If you are under 21 years old, you can raise that to 10 out of 10 times. hondaslayer 01-15-2007, 09:25 PM Where are you located? shift_rex 01-15-2007, 09:50 PM reset your ECU, and play dumb as to it not being drivable and you not know what is wrong. It is under warrenty and is bone stock like you said. Curious what you were doing though, I upgraded mine to 05k 3rd and 4th with ppg straight cut 1st and 2nd been in there over a year no problems and it's not stock. :D So what happened? JonR 01-15-2007, 10:17 PM If it's already all stock, why are you trying to buy stock injectors? http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1179378 Just tell us what mods and what happened. DrD 01-15-2007, 10:34 PM Will the dealer fix if it is all stock? If you are a good customer, have a nice service department, and the car is indeed stock, then you have a chance. If the car has been returned to stock, more often than not it's painfully clear that's what has happened once they get under the hood, and they almost certainly will not cover it. If you have a nice service department, and you are up-front and honest with them, they might try to help you out.... really depends on the dealer. And only 10 minutes before he posted this thread....I'm confused RexyGirl 01-17-2007, 11:45 PM Don't you just hate it when people come in here, ask a vague question and never return???? What happened? hondaslayer 01-18-2007, 12:55 AM Don't you just hate it when people come in here, ask a vague question and never return???? What happened? Maybe the dealer declined coverage due to mods or abuse...... rexmaster 01-18-2007, 08:49 AM Check out this warranty bulletin: http://wjmrallyesport.com/01-156-0351672.pdf I had tough time even though my problem (stripped speedometer gear) was unrelated to abuse or caused by any modifications. How did it happen? salisburyv 01-18-2007, 11:25 AM No chance of warranty coverage if ANY of the teeth on that gear are stripped. SOA deems it abuse. RexyGirl 01-18-2007, 12:24 PM Maybe the dealer declined coverage due to mods or abuse...... Well it would be nice to come back and let people know what is going on....otherwise, what is the sense in trying to help? hondaslayer 01-18-2007, 12:51 PM Well it would be nice to come back and let people know what is going on....otherwise, what is the sense in trying to help? Dont ya know, easier to vent and bitch about something than it is to carry on a conversation ;) Edit: How did you get to become a scooby PITA???? steve1221 01-18-2007, 04:16 PM Or that could have been a dealer fishing for an admission.... Conspiracy theory racingfish 01-18-2007, 08:30 PM No chance of warranty coverage if ANY of the teeth on that gear are stripped. SOA deems it abuse. +1 good luck getting gears covered... hope u know someone. hondaslayer 01-18-2007, 09:43 PM Or that could have been a dealer fishing for an admission.... Conspiracy theory  Who? steve1221 01-18-2007, 10:55 PM Just an idea, maybe some dealer is suspicious of someone who brought their car in and is trying to get someone on here to say "that happened to me too!" and admit something. hondaslayer 01-18-2007, 11:01 PM That could never happen. |
