Hello,
New guy on the forum, picked up a white 99 2.5RS 2 door , that I oddly enough , found out to be someone who posts on here. Sooo, I need a few stockie items for it, trying to remove 1 or 2 mods are that are annoying.
Soo, I'm looking for a stock 2.5 singlecam crank pulley so I can dump the underdrive one, I'm also looking for the hoodvent(pass side)/scoop covers for the hood on the car since I don't like rain going into my engine bay :)
I'm also looking for some misc bits missing from a cruise control "kit" he threw in with the car, the pedal switches/harness and the actual cruise control stalk for the steering wheel.
And , if anyone got a quiet-er exhaust, i might be in the market for that too, it got a stromung setup that's a little too loud for long driving for my tastes. I'd prefer to deal with anyone local if at all possible. LMK what you got. Thanks in advance.

Just add a resonator to the exhaust.

Is this XyKo's old car?

Yep, it is, seemed like an ok enough deal, runs pretty good, got a few things that need to be sorted out, and I couldn't find anything close to it in price.

I have a stock RS axleback if you just want to want to get rid of the aftermarket altogether.

I might be...will it bolt up to the stock pipe?

I'll give ya $5 and a stock pulley for the underdrive pulley. :)

Fitz

PS. And I'll throw in the cruise control stalk for the steering wheel if you'll include the undersized belt.

I'm sure it will fit all WRXs, as far as the 99RS goes I have to do some research on it. I'll let you know.

According to my research, it will fit but you need a custom midpipe and hangers.

argh..my post count is too low..I can't PM people back now! The underdrive pulley might be up for sale for cheap cheap after I get it removed, and i'll include the belts it comes with. But if you wanna sell that cruise control stalk separate, lmk, and if someone got the brake/clutch switches for a cruise setup, i'd love those too!

I'll trade you my stock 2000 RS exhaust for your Stromung if its in good condition. I will even get you new spring bolts (if its a cat back) and nuts and gasket.

Is it a single tip, dual tip, catback, axle back?

I could meet you in Boston if you'd like to do the swap at your place, or we could do it at my place (3 hours-ish from B-town)

Chris N:
it's a dual tipped full catback to my knowledge (looks to be a non OEM pipe and it's sans middle resonator), I might do the WRX axleback if it's cheap enough to get a new midpipe made. Gonna call tomorrow and see how ouch-riffic it'll be.

warrior, I have a WRX axelback, with a custom made str8 through mid-pipe with no resonator that was custom made for me at a muffler shop for my 99 RS. The axel back was not cut, the mid pipe was made with flanges so it disasembles just like the stock unit. Sounded great behind my RandomTech super high-flow cat. Let me know if you're interested, I can easily meet you in Springfield or something like that.

The exhaust is a full Stromung Dual tip. Comes with the stromung stainless steel midpipe also.

I'm trying to look for something a LOT quieter, pref with a resonator. My buddy was driving my car and already got in trouble for the loud muffler ;)

No prob, i understand... I imagine it would significantly quieter than the stromung, but either way. Let me know if you change your mind.
