View Full Version : P&L Motorsports Debuts their EWG package

P&L Motorsports Inc.
01-22-2007, 06:36 PM
P&L's EWG setup starts off life as a high quality TurboXS up-pipe that has been setup and modified to run a high quality Tial 44MM v-band wastegate. The TurboXS down-pipe (arguably the most difficult to fit an EWG on) was used to finalize the production jig so there would be no fitment issues at all.

We listened to our customers who wanted a high quality unit compatible with the TurboXS downpipe (one of the more widely used units here in the midwest). We selected the TurboXS up-pipe as well due to its extreme high quality, quality control, and availability. Why re-invent the wheel if it's not necessary?

MSRP will be at $749 for the up-pipe, Tial 44MM wastegate (silver), dump tube, 1 bar spring, and v-band clamps. But, it will be introduced on a limited introductory price of $699 with express shipping included. Call or email us with any questions you may have.

Very nice... gonna do a 38mm package too?

The 44 being such a larger bang for the buck compared to the price point on the 38 pretty much sold us on it. It's the type of setup you can use on a VF39, or a GT40R. Not to mention, that from your point of view, the v-band mounts make assembly VERY VERY simple and mindless. No gaskets to worry about, etc.

Hmm.. is that a customised 44mm ewg? My 38mm has flanges on it.. but I would love to have one of those Vclamps for my dump tube.. that way I could finagle it a little :p

by the time that thing opens up your car is already making a ton of noise. its not really nessessary.

Do to the fact that the dump tube is ran a little lower then most it actually is a lot quieter in the cabin than most other set ups.

Are there any downpipes that it won't fit with?

We have had the most common ones bolted up here at the shop, even a stock downpipe, but the txs being the biggest there should be no fitment issues.

Thanks

If you have any questions at all feel free to give us a call and we would be more than happy answer them

Thank you!

have you tried an APS I know the flages from the 3 piece down pipe can sometimes get in the way.

Have you tried this setup with a legacy gt downpipe? There is less clearance between the turbo and firewall so the downpipes have a sharper angle and might hit the EWG.
