Hi,
I have a JDM Twin Scroll turbo kit that I am interested in selling. The kit has been used on my 2004 STi and it is in great condition. The turbo delivers excellent throttle response, and very little turbo lag. It made over 260 HP on a very conservative tune on the Super-Rupair dyno (in 100+ degree temps in the dyno room), with a broader curve than VF39 tunes that I saw graphs for.
I don't want to sell off the components of the kit unless all the parts can be sold.
I paid over $2600 for the kit and components listed below:
-1 IHI VF37 Twin Scroll Turbo
-1 Subaru Twin Scroll Header and Up-pipe
-2 Stock Catted JDM Twin Scroll Downpipes
-1 3" Helix Catless Twin Scroll Conversion Downpipe
-1 JDM Mid-pipe
-1 AVO Adjustable Wastegate Actuator
-1 Stock JDM IHI VF37 Wastegate Actuator
-Misc. Fittings and Brackets for Twin Scroll Applications
-Daddy's Sport Compact Performance Mid-pipe. Tapers to 2.5" at the Muffler. Perfect for mating to 3" Helix Downpipe.
Price - $2000 Negotiable
It is safe to say that it would spool faster than any of the single-scroll VF3X series turbos on the 2.0L WRX motor. There have been people on NASIOC that have used the twin-scroll on a EJ205, but I can't seem to find the posts at the moment.
For a EJ205 or EJ207 you'll need a later model oil pan, and possibly the oil pick-up.
On another note, the throttle response of this turbo is one of the things I have really enjoyed. For example, at 3500 rpm the VF39 (stock STi turbo) took approximately one second (a count of 'one one-thousand') to get to peak boost. The twin-scroll VF37 reaches peak boost at about half that (a count of 'one one...').
Please PM if interested, or if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Dennis
