ive read a lot of threads that say that the best spots to mount oil temp and oil press sensors is the galley plug (under the ic) and that u can remove the stock oil press unit an add the aftermarket 1.

my questions are
1. where else can you mount these senders? can i wire tie them
somewhere or do i have to get a strap an secure them to the firewall
2. if i do remove the stock oil press sending unit will that have any
adverse effects ie. limp mode etc.

thanks

The Defi oil pressure sender is pretty small. I mounted it straight to the block via the subaru oil galley adaptor. How massive is your sender?
