View Full Version : Suspension Recommendations
SURPRISE_TR 01-27-2007, 03:44 PM hey guys i'm looking into more suspension crap for my car. i know i'm going to be getting the rpm frame brace... i was wondering who everyone was favoring for an new coilovers (don't like the tein basics anymore) ALK,End Links,Control Arms, and like a camber adjustment kit.. oh yeah and a completely new set of bushings allllllllllll over the bottom of the car and steering.. i've heard good things about white line and perrin on a couple things but was wondering what the general concensus is here..thanks guys..and BTW alaska sucks balls it's so f'in cold here
Silver Ra 01-27-2007, 05:36 PM JIC magic coilovers or maybe if u wanna go i bit cheaper you could get the ksports everyone talks about ive heard its a good bang 4 your buck .
fastnoypi 01-27-2007, 06:43 PM +1 for the ksports. I had the JIC's, they are nice when they are on, but PITA to adjust and statesite support is non-existant when you blow a strut.
If its a daily driver, 04+ STI takeoffs plus pink springs is the bang for the buck, IMO.
SURPRISE_TR 01-27-2007, 08:36 PM well for the coilovers i was looking into getting the jic flt-a2...i haven't even tried to get this strut thing replaced my teins...other then the F/L one making the metal on metal sound i totally loved em..they were great...
EllinikoScuby 01-27-2007, 10:17 PM I have the Whiteline group 4's they are nice, but in hind sight I wish I went for either springs, or springs and struts.
fastnoypi 01-27-2007, 10:22 PM well for the coilovers i was looking into getting the jic flt-a2...i haven't even tried to get this strut thing replaced my teins...other then the F/L one making the metal on metal sound i totally loved em..they were great...

SURPRISE_TR 01-28-2007, 01:31 AM i'm rocking the megans. and i love them

gormonk 01-28-2007, 03:41 AM megan sport coilovers.
have it dropped as far as my alignment adjustments will let me go
SURPRISE_TR 01-28-2007, 01:35 PM liking the price on the megan track editions......i'm leaning towards the white-line on all the little tid bits of the suspension rode in my buddies car again that has all whiteline stuff and liking how responsive and stiff the car is... IDK the search continues..
gormonk 01-28-2007, 01:43 PM yeah, i'll be going with the cobb front and rear sway.
gonna wait a while on the front swat till after i do the sedan front fenders so i can use the aluminum A-arms off the '06 wrx. that way i can use a sedan sway
SURPRISE_TR 01-28-2007, 01:49 PM well knowing this podunk ass state i'm not going to be able to get my car aligned aggressively enough because every mechanic shop here is full of idiots...so i'd probably end up having to drive 360 miles to anchorage to a subi dealership to get them to hook me up with a good amount of negative camber otherwise i'm goign to have all this suspension stuff and not even an aggressive alignment.haha
intercoolerontop 01-28-2007, 02:27 PM i have ksports and they are working great for me.
SURPRISE_TR 01-29-2007, 03:37 AM how is the adjustability on the ksports? ride height?
intercoolerontop 01-29-2007, 12:07 PM really good u can adjust everything by large margins. I could scrape the ground or have stock ride height. U can also adjust the tension on the coil as well. then of coarse the damper. The distributer is in Tempe.
wrxgurl06 01-29-2007, 01:23 PM Check out BC Racing coilovers. They are about the same price as the Megans but better quality. I love mine.
SURPRISE_TR 01-29-2007, 03:55 PM cool gonna have to check these 2 out after work
