Scooby South 04-17-2001, 08:54 PM Very nice...http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif
2yLiTe 04-17-2001, 08:56 PM Of course it's worth it!!
Heck even if it rains an hour later, it's quality time you spend just "workin' on the car". What I probably enjoy the most is just listening to the radio while washing...chillin' then going out later in the night in what feels like a brand new car!
Oh...I can't wait for summer to roll on in! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
98mpreziveRS 04-17-2001, 08:59 PM yes it is
... so the mud will slide off better instead of just sticking to the mud already on the car.
NOW go rally please (just a joke, relax)
subymamma 04-17-2001, 09:13 PM Love your wheels. They Team Dynamics?
gavin 04-17-2001, 10:19 PM I definitely take an hour, or so, on the first good wash after winter. Identify and touch-up any new rock pits, and give it a good wax.
Consider it annual rust maintenance.
MichiganRS 04-17-2001, 11:47 PM I will tell you all a lil tip dont leave bird crap on your car I did and now my hood is all messed up looks like it ate through the paint and this was only for a few days. Also the paint wasnt factory I had to replace my whole front clip a few months ago so possibly cheaper paint didnt help either.
RS-LOVER 04-17-2001, 11:59 PM Looks nice, but hours??? I do my whole car in about 30-40 min. Unless your waxing it too.
scootr 04-18-2001, 02:45 AM They are Work meister s2r wheels 17x7 53+.
I washed it forever and cleaned the whole interior. The wheels are also a pain to clean. That is why it takes so long.

Subie Gal 04-18-2001, 07:08 AM noooo... it's bad luck to spend MORE than 2 hours washing/polishing on your car... the last time i did that on a car i owned... i got T boned by a drunk driver http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/eek.gif

Retsyn 04-18-2001, 07:21 AM I do that just about every weekend. Just got an random orbital buffer to cut the time to around an hour and a half. It's how I relax though... Take my mind off the hook for a couple of hours and just clean the car. If it's been a particularly bad week, I'll wash and wax my wifes Forester too. That's a REALLY bad week though! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif
Ginseng 04-18-2001, 07:45 AM I aree that washing my baby is a bonding experience. Plus, you get to do a detailed inspection for dings, chips and other little disturbances that otherwise might escape notice. That way, you can touch-up, strip and wax or whatever to protect it. It takes me at least and hour to do a full clean inside and out including windows, wheels and polishing the tips on my Stromung. It took me 2.5 hours just to wax it the first time. Sucked, that's why I bought the Bosch 6" RO sander/polisher. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
J Colman 04-18-2001, 08:44 AM Looks nice man, a worthwile 2 hours
icthus 04-18-2001, 08:58 AM Time well spent. I've said this before, I love those wheels! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif
bryanw 04-18-2001, 09:08 AM I don't think it's worth it at all. No matter how much time or money I spend on a wash, one drive to work and it looks just like it did before I washed it.
bratmantlz 04-18-2001, 09:10 AM hell i have spent a whole afternoon on cleaning and detailing the inside of my car. but it just gets dirty againhttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/mad.gif its a constant battle
adamsrs 04-18-2001, 10:43 AM Arent WORK wheels REALLY expensive??? I thought that they were like as much as ADVANS! Any ways, you need to lower your car! STAT! PS: My car is my prised possesion and I still only take a half hour at the most to wah and vaccum my car.

I love your wheels even if they are expensive... I saw them on a WRX in a magazine from France and I said to myself that they were made for an Impreza...
Good choice and you have a nice RS!

ivbdn 04-18-2001, 06:53 PM I've spent hours just washing my car. Then comes the waxing. It's definitely worth it in my opinion.
John2.5RS 04-18-2001, 07:05 PM I can't tell you, the pictures aren't working for me. Got a link?
iBlueVirus 04-18-2001, 10:16 PM I do that every time when I wash my car. but the question is... how often do you wash your car? I try my best to do it one every other week...
TaiChih 04-18-2001, 10:19 PM Look at that shine! Very nice, will you detail my car.http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gifhttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/lol.gif
