So i just bought a catless TBE. it does have the spots for the O2 sensors, but from what i understand, without cats it will throw codes and the CEL will come on. will the AP V1.0 eliminate the CEL? Also, if the CEL is on, is the car really be running better with the high flow exhaust, or is the stock ECU gonna be like WTF?? and cause the car to run like crap? Everyone on here seems to be against cold air intakes, so i will skip that mod. I am just curious--once i install the new exhaust, will it be necessary to re-map the ecu with the COBB, and, if and when i do, will the car be out of CEL-mode, pass smog, etc.

once you install the TBE you will want to flash the stage 2 map from the AP at the same time. the v1.0 should clear any check engine light regarding being catless. from what i hear the older V1.0 maps didnt eliminate CEL's, but all you have to do is download the lastest map from COBBs website upload then to your AP and you will be good to go. even if a CEL were to come on it will not effect your cars performance IF its the one regarding the rear O2 sensor. never run anything other than the intakes the map notes says it was made for (stock and cobb sf). in regards to passing smog tests, fill out your profile so we know what state you live in. in PA as long and you dont throw any CEL's and you sensors are ready then you will pass. i can answer for any other states though.

Im in NV, and I believe that to be the same thing. My recent smog check consisted of the guy plugging in the computer, running the car for 30 seconds or so, and printing out a passing document....
