View Full Version : Bailey of PDXTuning at Buschur Racing - 2007
PDXTuning 02-05-2007, 05:58 PM Next round of TUning at Buschur Racing in Wakeman Ohio - just west of Cleveland - August 30th though Sat Sept first
To sign up - see my remote tune request form here:
http://www.surgelinetuning.com/page.php?page=tune_req
The schedule for this round of tuning starts on page 20 of this thread! :-)
A big thanks to Quack for getting all this started and to slorice for driving at every event so far... and of course to David Buschur for the great dyno rate. David charges a flat fee per car that allows me the flexibility to do whatever it takes to get the tune right without emptying everyone's wallet.
The old Ohio Tuning thread is 48 pages and nearly 1200 posts.:D
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=960910
I'd like this thread to serve as the official thread to coordinate the Buschur PDXTuning events for all of 07.

Where:
Buschur Racing in Wakeman Ohio - just west of Cleveland OH
How much does it cost?:
Dyno use is $125 per car. Tuning costs start at 175 and go up from there. A typical pump fuel tune will cost 300 to 350 total. Maps for extra fuel types, water or meth injection, etc, cost more. A typical race gas map will cost an additional 75 to 100.

subydude 02-05-2007, 06:28 PM if you could put me down for an early afternoon Saturday I'd appreciate it!
I promise to actually have a working car by then too:p
SilverSurfer04STi 02-05-2007, 06:44 PM Count me in for one of the days that weekend Tim.
Just like last time, I'll do Friday afternoon if that's alright. Like last time, if we run long I can steal vacant time on Saturday if necessary.
I will email you a few questions about boost control too. Only change on the car will be an EBC for higher boost. :)

Tim,
Do you tune GReddy's eManage?
If Tim can't, I can. It's practically a S-AFC. I have a version of the software on my laptop, but not sure if it's the latest and greatest, so you may have to bring your own laptop with the software.
explicithero 02-06-2007, 10:10 AM I just filled out a form and can do really any day. I am in Midland Michigan so It will be a lil drive for me.
ScoreBo 02-06-2007, 11:16 PM i'm back in. Tim, do you still have the TGVs? Shoot me an email and let me know.
John

Which emanage version is this we're talking about here? The last emanage i did was over a year ago. These have changed significantly.
Tim
SloRice 02-12-2007, 05:04 PM But then you won't be able to go to that pimp bar with us!!

The new Ultimate version.
Even if you don't mess with all the new stuff, you'd be able to set the A/F for a solid power curve, right? That's most of what matters to me. My mechanic and I will probably play around with the general settings to get my car running. I'd just like it tuned for a decent A/F curve when it's all said and done.
Bailey 02-12-2007, 05:22 PM Sunday afternoon please... info sent to PDX, thanks
David Bushur wants me to limit sunday tuning to after 12:00 PM if at all. People in wakeman are starting to complain. :D
I may try to get out a little earlier in the week... perhaps thursday through Sunday. I'll keep everyone up to date.
Cheers

Cool.. I'd be happy to work with this.
I believe this verison controls fuel and timing independent of the stock ECU .... I'll find out and get back to you.

Yeah, my understanding is that it's just shy of a full standalone. Should be "interesting" for me to play with. I'll feel a lot better when you're tuning it.
I'll look into grabbing a slot.
Submitted the form. Probably looking for Saturday, but I can be flexible. As long as I can get tuned, I'll try to work around whatever timeslots are available.

I stayed at a place right off the turnpike. I can't remember if it was a Motel 6, but I think it was. Not that great, but I've certainly stayed in alot worse places.

I think I'm glad I missed that episode. Your description was sorta scary.
NorthCoastWRX 02-12-2007, 07:43 PM Tim, there are all kinds of hotels near Norwalk, and Sandusky is only about 12 miles up Rt 250. That is the home of Cedar Point the amusement park, and plenty of hotels there as well. I am in for Thursday if that's an option.
kessler89 02-13-2007, 01:35 AM am i in? i filled out the form, didn't get see my name on the list yet....(really dont wanna miss this) if there's gonna be a problem with sunday tunes i'd like to know asap so i can schedule a vacation day at work;)

I misread. After noon on Sunday is fine with me . For some reason I read before noon. I just realized that made no sense and reread your post.
bigmike25rs 02-13-2007, 02:57 PM Tim, I still havent been able to sell my 30R yet.. Can you give me an idea as to how much boost and power I could potentially make if I have to run it again? (on 110) I'd really like to go 35R, but I haven't even gotten an offer on the 30R...
subydude 02-16-2007, 12:16 AM Tim,
With the new Ecutek is it possible to tune one map for just fuel and one map for the alchy injection? I'd like to have a normal map for every day driving and one for the autox. I'm all about quick spool this time:)
And yes...hell or high water I will have the mechanics finished when it goes up there. One day of above 40 degree weather and I could finish it:p

Yes, I can tune two totally different maps that you can load with easy ecu software and the supplies ODB2 port.

That's strange. Everyone needs a GT series turbo of some sort. :D
On ported heads and 2.5 block we recently made 500 tq and power with a 30r and c16. 32 psi midrange tapering to 28. But that power and tq was measured on a dynapack dyno. Subtract a bit for the buschur dyno.

Did Slorice stay on the dyno too long that day?? :)
sorry about your wait last time.
I do my best to stay on schedule. Going first in the day has its advantages... any delays start with your car. :D
Seriously though, I've done a lot more remote dyno days since your tune..... I'm better at staying on track and on schedule. That said, as long as we have a defined schedule there may be delays but i will not put others ahead of your without a good reason AND your permission.
See ya later

bigmike25rs 02-20-2007, 09:23 PM Tim, I have a sale pending!!! :) Is there anything else I will need to adress before the tune? Fuel or ignition? How about the MAF voltage? Will there be enough room to reach my goals? Thanks

To make maximum power on race fuel you'll need another fuel pump. Get a Buscher double pumper system. Two walbro 255s.
If memory serves me correctly you have an EBC? Dtec??
MAF voltage is an unknown as your blow through MAF is custom. You hit a max of 4.4 MAF volts on the last tune. The last 0.6 volts offer a lot of headroom on most cars.
I made 590ish on my last blow through MAF housing. I'd be more than happy send this to you to model or you can buy it if you like.....
ScoreBo is going to the perrin blow through tubing. I've not yet done one of these at higher power levels. I'm not sure how much flow it will support.
Tim
bcristea 02-21-2007, 04:18 PM Tim,

I still have the stock boost control. My buddy wants to hook myperrin ebcs up and use engenuity to get the car running. I could unmarry my AP and do that, then remmarry and install the ebcs at Buschur's before you tune. I could get there at eleven, do that and be ready to go at noon. Or I could just flash your map and run the stock boost control. I am a little concerend over compressor surge and wanted to get the ebcs on there to help. I am of course assuming it would help to control that.
My map request was for a TC.COM 18G 7cm hotside. That has changed to a FP tdo5 20G 7cm housing. I won't need the map until tomorrow afternoon.
Ok, now tell me what to do :D
Thanks for helping me out with this.
SloRice 02-23-2007, 12:06 PM Tim (slorice) WTF happend?? Why are you out for the season?? :(
As said above...session, not season. :p
These two engines Eric and I built/are building took entirely to long because we could never get any parts shipped to us and the holiday season, etc and screwed up the timeframe for my own car.
My car "might" be running by the time Tim comes in town, but won't have enough miles on it to do tuning.

No problem Vern,
I'll get you the maps tongiht.
Don't bother with the enginuity to get your boost control working. I'll send you 10 different real time maps with increasingly aggressive boost control parameters. You simply pick the one that works the best for your setup. For now i'm going to set your desired boost to 15 pounds. I don't think runing more boost is going to be a good idea until you're tuned. ;-)

Thanks. This will be using the stock boost controller I take it ? It is going to be a long month waiting to get tuned. Bigger turbo but less power for awhile.:( Oh well. If I end up with 30 more whp I will be over 300 on that stingy dyno. That will be worth the wait. Got to get that six speed swap done.

Oops...I did read that wrong.. It must be the 85* weather getting to me down here in Florida..:)
Tim B, can you offer any advice on breaking the new motor in? Like oil change intervals and boost limits/milage.. My new job gives me 4 days home every 10 days, so I don't have a ton of time.. I'm still not sure when the motor will even be completed.. I may just have a buddy drive it around for me while I'm gone to get some miles on it..

I'm still not sure when the motor will even be completed.. I may just have a buddy drive it around for me while I'm gone to get some miles on it..
mike, i'll break it in for you :D
i haven't been traveling at all, so it's just been around town
SloRice 02-26-2007, 04:16 PM Why are you in Florida, Mike? Seems like you've been there for a while.

he finally caved to Bryan's peer pressure to work for him on the road.
he's gotta pay off the mods somehow
bigmike25rs 02-26-2007, 06:32 PM ^^^ That's it.. I'm home 8 days a month now.. The money is great though, especially since I'm now on bonus..
Don, I am serious about letting someone break the car in...
wrx110487 02-26-2007, 08:45 PM any clue on when some kind of list or schedule will be released, or atleast a rough draft? thanks

if you want, i'll do it.
also today was the 1st non-local driving distance job that i've had in 2-3 months, and that was just a drive up to toledo.
Jpizzzle 02-27-2007, 05:16 PM Bailey,
Ive been reading since last year when you were doing the tuning out here and i was ready to come down and get tuned when my motor blew up! well, now im building a hybrid 2.5 with 2.0 heads. there will be a lot done very soon. I was wondering if you could make me up a map to drive with all of this, break in i guess. i dont know how the tuning process works so any and all info is well appreciated. if you are willing, please pm me with everything you would need to know. or if i should just build it, drop it in and bring it to you. Im very glad to see that you are still doing all of this and look forward to having you tune my car.
Thanks
Jon

Sorry to hear about your blown motor Jon. I'm happy to make a break in map for you. Will need to know:
turbo,
injectors
intake
etc.
Also, FYI, make sure to check the compression ratio before you bolt the heads on the block. Lots of folks get their heads milled flat along with the block and as a result they've got a 10:1 compression motor. Higher compression ratio's will kill any turbo application's power potential.... Impossible to tune.
Measure the head and top of the piston volume. Calculate the compression ratio. IF needed use a thicker cometic gasket to bing the comp ratio down below 9:1. Final compression depends upon your power goals. A smallish turbo will perform well with ~9:1 compression. A larger turbo setup will suffer under these conditions. for a VF39 or similar shoot for 9:1. For a largish turbo (FP green for example) get the ratio down to low 8's.
Cheers
Tim

ScoreBo 02-27-2007, 07:46 PM You should focus on a built block and heads.
I have a second short block that I'm getting ready to build.... want me to build it to your specs? :D
I want you to start getting me prices! You're killing me by leaving me hanging! :)
Tim G talked me out of a stroker, so I guess I am just doing a 2.5 non-sleeved now. If I'm yanking the motor I am doing heads, cams and porting.
Not enough time in the day... :(

Got it and replied. Thanks.
If you switch to the APS70 we'll have so do some tuning of your pump fuel maps. I do agree that intake temps are better with the APS CAI compared to the Perrin big maf.

Bah! There are 3 engines in this area with 8.9:1 compression and either a 30R or 35R that you may be tuning. I hope you're wrong!!!

8.9:1 is not that high. This may be limiting on pump fuel but with race fuels like c-16 this will make very little difference. Furthermore, premium fuels in ohio are awesome. Also, static compression is different than dynamic compression. Some race motors have so much valve overlap that they have significantly lower dynamic compression.
Hypothesis aside, the proof for the idea will come when the tuning is done.
Who's motors have higher compression? BigMike2.5?

Don't you check your voicemails?? ;)
I talked to Phil and he won't be in the area until sometime in April and he trusted you to tune it. So if you can fit Mookie in, that would be good. The base map Phil sent is pretty good. I’m going to do a little tweaking to it to get more familiar with the Hydra and to make sure it’s running good for break in though.
Kelford non-AVCS cams. 11mm lift, 276 or 278 intake, 272 exhaust.

Ha ;) I have NOT checked my VM for a couple of days.... at least the number that you have. :D
OK - looks like i may need to rearrange the schedule a bit. Perhaps i should take another day?
Those cams are too small. My cams are 284, 278 with 11.3 mm lift!! Sure it won't idle but who really cares.
Also, my 4088 is a 56 trim and NOT a 52 trim. Take a look at that compressor map. Its a beast. Not as awesome as the 4094 but pretty good nonetheless. Its so good i'm not going to buy the innovative T70 until i try this pup out.

hmm....not sure what 4088 you are getting. The two on Garrett's website are a 52 trim and a 54 trim.
As for my cams, I agree...I told Ron I wanted them big and that's what he told me to get. He said anything over 11mm of lift and we run into cam surge at low RPM's....kinda like the big block V8's at the dragstrip that only move forward on the cam stroke. I might call him again and confirm that those are the cams to go with.

Quack 02-28-2007, 06:40 PM Tim B, i think there is also a 18g wagon that was wanting to get tuned too.
loworbitSI 02-28-2007, 07:19 PM Hi, Tim
My name is Aaron Ritch. You were at Buscher's shop last spring and I was part of the first round of tuning. I had a '04 STi, white, and you caused a panic attack for me when the car was on the dyno. Yourself and the driver thought the car had a failing fuel pump from the whine in the back seat, but it turned out to be the intercooler water sprayer. You then road tuned my car. Remember me? The car ran fantastic, but I fear the work you've done is now history.
Chatting with a friend who also attended the event with a VF34 powered bug-eye he mentioned that he unhooked his battery and then it occured to him that his map was reset back to the base map. I had my car sit during the winter here in Ohio, and I too actually looked at the Cobb Accessport system for the very first time since the dyno day.
I have unhooked the battery a few times over the summer, but sadly the idea of the map resetting never dawned on me. My friend with the bug eye told me of his BASE map loaded into his AP, but he also has a couple REAL time maps that are actually the dyno tuned maps.
My Accessport does NOT have these real time maps. I have the Aaron R BASE map, and within the real time library, there is only the Aaron R Theft Map and the Aaron R Valet Map.
Where is the real time tuned map that I had done that day on the dyno? I expected an Aaron R Tuned real time map that I would reload.
I'm at a loss here knowing that if in fact I did reset the battery, this dyno tuned map was lost, and a majority of the summer, up until I looked here tonight that the car was running an off the shelf base map that was loaded prior to the car running on the dyno.
Please contact me with the availability of my tuned map - if in fact you still have it on your laptop. Please please please say you do...
I can only hope this is not the case, and I'm just over reacting... :(
Thank you,
Aaron Ritch

Jager_Addict 03-01-2007, 01:21 PM Hey Tim, will you have time to get a pump and race map for me?
SloRice 03-01-2007, 04:28 PM ^^I honestly wouldn't waste your money on having Tim tune a race gas map for a TD-05 20G turbo on a STI. It will make more power, but i'm guessing only about 20-30whp depending on what race fuel you use.
Quack 03-01-2007, 05:32 PM is it a TD05 or TD06?
do you have a bigMAF?
do you have an EBC?

speed92x 03-08-2007, 02:26 PM sadly i'm not going to be able to make it up for the event i let my best friend's wife take my 9-2x out for dinner monday night and i got to watch her roll it on our way to go eat she is fine but the car is totaled. i'm probably gonna get an M3 so if anyone is looking for a hardly used DB18g i'll have one for sale most likely.:(
Quack 03-08-2007, 02:30 PM YIKES! hope their OK.
Bailey 03-08-2007, 02:53 PM Hey Tim... Answer your phone!! ;) I would like to get some pointers on breaking in the new block.. Thanks.
Got your message - will call you this evening.
There are lots of opinions about how to break in a motor. Here's the way i like to break in my own motors.
Fill the finished motor with non-synthetic oil.
Turn the car over several times with the spark plugs out and the injectors unplugged .... this gets oil pumping through the motor. Start the car and let it come up to temp.
Change the oil. - non synthetic
Drive it at varying RPM for 50 miles.... go up an down through the RPM range and low load (no boost). Allow the car to rev and then decel.
Change the oil. - non synthetic.
Drive it for 100 miles with the same approach but allow increasing boost - just a few pounds... nothing radical
Change the the oil - non synthetic
Turn the boost up to 15 or so.... drive at varying load and RPM
With 500 or more miles on the motor (more is better) and a fresh change of non-synthetic oil do a higher power dyno tune.
Change to synthetic after 1k to 1500 k miles.
Thats my advice. My last motor was on the dyno after 200 miles. :D I don't follow my own advice.
Good luck
TIm
speed92x 03-08-2007, 03:04 PM she is fine. a little shook up still but ok. just got off the phone with the adjuster looks like i'll be getting the car repaired but not in time for the event.
bcristea 03-08-2007, 04:26 PM TIM,
You were going to let me know if a bigger fuel pump was actually need for the 06 WRX with VF39 and TMIC?
I think you tuned a few similar set ups last weekend?
What did you find out?
Anything else worth getting besides the plugs?
Thanks,

I have my car up for sale and have had some very serious interest for trades and purchases...

So take me off the list for this tuning session. If for some reason I still have the car I'll hit ya up at the next session in a couple months.

So, knock on wood, our motor building skills are looking good!

DoctorNick 03-14-2007, 02:15 PM Baily, you have PM.
Also, for boost control I am running a AEM TruBoost EBC.
bcristea 03-14-2007, 04:41 PM TIM,
Can you answer my question below:
I also left you a VM.
Thanks,TIM,
You were going to let me know if a bigger fuel pump was actually need for the 06 WRX with VF39 and TMIC?
I think you tuned a few similar set ups last weekend?
What did you find out?
Anything else worth getting besides the plugs?
Thanks,
Bailey 03-14-2007, 05:32 PM TIM,

ScoobySnacker 03-14-2007, 10:04 PM Tim,
Just curious, do you tune on the base map or realtime map?
bigmike25rs 03-14-2007, 10:07 PM ^^^ Both. You will most likely get a basemap for general fuel and timing running wastegate pressure.. Then you will have realtime maps to switch from high to low boost.. (race and pumpgas)
Quack 03-15-2007, 07:54 AM Tim,
Just curious, do you tune on the base map or realtime map?
he setup up with a base map, then all the performance is in teh realtime maps.
ScoobySnacker 03-15-2007, 09:48 AM he setup up with a base map, then all the performance is in teh realtime maps.
Cool, thanks.
Quack 03-15-2007, 10:34 AM here you can see what's base & what's realtime on the StreetTUNER
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a317/Quackzilla/ST.jpg
ScoobySnacker 03-15-2007, 12:50 PM ^^^So how exactly does that work. I don't have the streetTUNER software. Are some of those perameters that can be changed and then that is all put into a one real time map. I'm sorta confused now.
SloRice 03-15-2007, 02:26 PM Hey Tim,
For some reason, I don't think you can do tuning before noon on Sunday.....damn country folk and their church going ways. :p
DoctorNick 03-15-2007, 03:25 PM Tim, I'm looking for suggestions on sparkplugs, Should I go with the longer ones for the STi or the ones for a WRX? Also; copper, iridium, platnium? 1 stage colder or 2?
Quack 03-15-2007, 03:50 PM long & short of it.
if you make changes to anything that is "B" (base) you will have to reflash the ECU. anything with a "R" (realtime) can be adjusted by live tuning. Tim sets up teh "base" prior to getting here, then has you flash your ECU with it. then when you're on teh dyno, he tunes the real-time parameters.
fwiw, the ProTUNER has ALOT more variables to tune over the StreetTUNER

DoctorNick 03-21-2007, 06:22 PM Tim, I more then likely could take the extra long spot on thursday. As I would like a lot of focus on driveability at partial thottle etc. (for both 93 and c16). So if you can't find anyone, I'll have the cash to cover that opening (and there should be plenty for you to do tuneing wise with my hybrid).

bigmike25rs 03-25-2007, 08:11 PM Hey Tim.. When my car is finally ready, can I use my existing map for the 30R to run my 35R? I mean with less boost of course.. What would be an OK level to run just to get things rolling once I get the motor broken in? I was thinking of just running the old map on say 18psi instead of 24psi.. What do you think?

Never grow up!! :D
My little girl is a cutie for sure. Her teacher at daycare asked if everyone was ok from my car crash? Confused i asked why she thought i was in an accident. Apparently Naomi had told everyone "daddy broke his car". Of course they don't know that i bent a rod drag racing. They just assumed i was in an accident.
She's always asking to ride in my STi. I've yet to get the heart to tell her that no one car ride in the back of the car now that i've got a roll cage. She misses "daddy's fast car". :D

Ok.. I meant after 1k miles or so since it may be awhile till you come back.. I was just worried about the timing be set too agressive for a lower boost level...
Yes, I will be running the same blow through setup. Everything should be the same except I will have a 35R with a 3" exhuast housing and a built bottom. I still need to get a fuel rail and a better pump.. Buschur dual pump? Thanks!!!

Will respond to the specifics.

ScoobySnacker 03-26-2007, 08:07 PM Tim,
Just wondering how early we should all show up before our scheduled time?
DoctorNick 03-26-2007, 08:30 PM Cool deal Tim, LMK if the hydra car needs some of my booked time.
Bailey 03-26-2007, 09:27 PM Tim,
Just wondering how early we should all show up before our scheduled time?
Show up as early as is feasible... an hour or more. I do my best to stay on schedule but sometimes things get switched around. There may be other things to do before you're on the dyno... load maps, get me some coffee, rub my back, etc. ;)
Tim
SilverSurfer04STi 03-26-2007, 10:50 PM Got it. I'll send them out.
Did i tune your car with street tuner or protuner? Does the buyer have street tuner on his laptop?
Tim
You gave me maps for both...
He doesn't need the maps anymore. It was a screw up on my part. I figured out my mental error, corrected issue, and now he has my maps downloaded/available for use. I apologize for the confusion.

Tenacious Bee 03-27-2007, 08:24 AM Tim. I sent you a pm. Get back to me when you can.

SloRice 03-27-2007, 10:13 AM Tim B. - you have an email
DoctorNick 03-27-2007, 08:38 PM Can we get c16 on site?
Quack 03-27-2007, 09:19 PM call Buschur Racing and see if they have any in stock.
PA04STI 03-28-2007, 03:28 AM Tim,
Intake manifold on today...Exhaust manifold too and turbo etc... Turbosmart eboost2 tonight...should be done Thursday and get to drive it to make sure everything is working and put some miles on it
I will be there I hope my stock 20,000 mile clutch will hold It's never been abused so I think it will.
I ordered an RPS clutch should be in Wed or Thurs but not sure if I am going to have time to install it or get someone to do my flywheel.
"Fingers crossed" on the stock clutch, but I think my power levels aren't going to hurt it on a dyno especially since the car has so few miles.
I am going to drive out and around off the wastegate...Question should I just leave the stock plugs in for now since I bet they will be fouled cause I will be runnign pig rich. I have two sets of NGK Iridiums 1 step colder plugs. Should I put them in when I get there?
Thanks,
Matt
Quack 03-28-2007, 07:51 AM ^^^what are you running? there was a GT35R STi that got tuned to over 400whp on a stock clutch and it held fine.

DoctorNick 03-28-2007, 11:23 AM I talked to david and he mentioned he didn't have much for sale.
So how much c16 should I bring for a tune? Should 10G be enough?
Jager_Addict 03-28-2007, 12:17 PM So anybody wanna come help pull my motor on saturday after the tuning session?   My car is 5 miles from buschur racing. My new cobb block blew up:furious:
SloRice 03-28-2007, 12:58 PM I talked to david and he mentioned he didn't have much for sale.

If you are doing pump gas and race gas tunes, come with about 1/4 to 1/8 of tank of pump gas. Then throw in 5 gallons of C-16 for race gas tuning.
DoctorNick 03-28-2007, 02:50 PM Alright, well I just bought 10 gallons of c16 (2 of those 5 gal blue cans). The less explosives I have to drive with the better. So if I only need 5 gallons, that would be mucho bettero. Thanks for the advice.
fwiw, if someone does need to buy my other can. LMK and I'll bring it.

Only an FPGreen on a Spearco TMIC without Meth so After hearing about a GT35R and the stock clutch holding I feel very safe using the stock clutch with my setup....thanks
Matt

See I am at a crossroads with my race gas tune...I will be using it for the road course so I am going to want it safe...
Am going to be using VP Motorsports 109 Unleaded but couldn't get any before my tune day. It rates 109 research octane & says motor octane will be 101. I will mix 7 gallons into my tank which will have 93 octane in it.
SO trying to get an octane close to this that I can get before Friday. I am going to buy Turbo Blue 106 octane from a local gas station. This should be very close to what I will be using every track day.
ok done venting..lol
Matt
overboost 03-28-2007, 05:37 PM Don, have you figured out if you will be back in town by Saturday or not?
kessler89 03-29-2007, 10:33 AM whoot 1 day:banana: see you guys there;)
DoctorNick 03-30-2007, 09:33 AM Nice meeting you all. Tim you have a PM shortly.
Quack 03-30-2007, 09:36 AM tied up on sat and sunday :(
SloRice 03-30-2007, 09:45 AM Hopefully day two is going better than day 1.....
DoctorNick - how did everything go after I left?
DoctorNick 03-30-2007, 09:47 AM It went alright, the police cut it short right at 6pm. But thats how it goes. Maps are in good shape. 93 agressive needs a lil work. Tim has a PM with a play by play update.
Lets just say, on the way home. A lightning and leggy GT got shown what lightweight and blue fuel can do
bigmike25rs 03-30-2007, 10:15 AM So what did Angelo make????
Quack 03-30-2007, 10:16 AM blown motor again

p.s. no
Quack 03-30-2007, 10:22 AM so what'd he put down?
explicithero 03-30-2007, 10:24 AM Can anyone help me out with my avcr and EWG. I have searched and searched, coming up with multiple ways to install the vacumn lines. I need some other help; possibly a diagram from ms paint or something to help me out. I have it set up to go from nipple on compressor to avcr then avcr to side port on wastegate. But that seems to simple and my wastegate is releasing at 1.07 bar when i have a .9 bar spring in; I replaced lines so there is now pill in it. Any help would be great.
Also, I have been trying to get ahold of Tim for a week now because I dont have any temporary maps to get my car down there. Could someone mention this to him. Thanks
SloRice 03-30-2007, 10:31 AM His A1000 sounds like it's taking a s**t and I think one of his injectors is messed up.
Lets just say tuning didn't go so well.
Tenacious Bee 03-30-2007, 01:34 PM Hope the cops do not shut us down on Sunday. I will be there about an hour and a half early.
explicithero 03-30-2007, 01:37 PM I probably won't be coming down. I don't have the injectors install because I haven't heard from Tim in two weeks. If anyone talks to him ask him to call me.

What injectors are you running?
Can you drive down on the stock injectors and then install the new ones at the shop??
explicithero 03-30-2007, 03:47 PM I am on stock injectors and putting in a set of modified perrin injectors. How long does it take to install injectors on an STi, Im used to a WRX with the green brackets of death.

WTF?? That car is cursed.. I was excited to see what a real fuel setup could make..:(
