Just out of pure curiousity.....how many Impreza's were made with our body style (GC8). I notice that 94 rx-7's are still selling for over 10k and sometimes even more. Will our cars hold their value????

RARE. There will be more WRX's *this year* than the entire 4 years of production of the RS (most likely):

well a 94 RX-7 should be going for more like 15-16K. But i don't know if that's considered "holding it's value" as it sold for about $40K new.

Either way, those are kinda considered "Exotics", plus they're fast as hell. :) The RS, while very rare, isn't by any stretch of the imagination an "exotic", so I don't see it likely to hold too much value in the next couple years.

Possibly in 5+ years it may be holding it's value, but by then the WRX will be all over the place, and people will wonder why they should even buy our "slow" cars. Sad, but, I think, true :(

I'm not sure of the production numbers for RX7s but I think they were similar to the MR2 turbos and in the last years of sales in this country there were only 200-500 units per year sold.

our cars will be like those old AE86s. Rare, cheap and fun to toss around for a project car. I can see it being snapped up for amateur Rally or even autoX events.
