I am currently selling a Brand new Pioneer AVIC-D1. If you dont know what this is, I guess I will try and fit about a 10th of the features it is capible of. Honestly though, What makes my D1 diffrent from the d2-3, is that It does not have a setperate brain to wire up! What is does have is built in navigation and antenna! It also comes standard with rear veiw backup mode when you put your car into reverse(which are so sweet) and you can also switch it to it any time as well, not just when in reverse. The system also comes with the upgraded dvd navigation discs that come with over 13 million points of interest! It has the dvd player in the lower trade, and the cd/ mp3/ wma plater is the second cd slot on the top. This head unit fits exactly flush in place of the crappy factory 6 discs comes standard. It almost come slike it comes from the fractory. IT is an amazing head unit that should not be glanced over, at least do a little research to see the amazing things that this HU is able off! Thanks.

Like is said this DVD Nav system/tuner/satalite radio/backup vision/car diagnotic gauges/ etc....... IS BRAND NEW. It also looks like it came from the factory when installed into a wrx. It is a perfect fit!

Ok to answer alot of questions, no this item is not refurbished nor is it used, it is brand new with warentee card and everything else. This is a touchscreen navigation dual cd slot 1 for audio cds (mp3, wma, its plays every format) and another dvd/navigation slot right below it. I paid 4 digits for this HU and am just trying to get some money back after encurring some unexpected bills. The DVD nav update cds alone are over 250 dollars. I'm not hating, and respect that your trying to get your moneys worth, but you have to relise that technology has changed alot since this unit..

And BTW, you CANNOT!! use the lower slot as a DVD player....

Umm the lower slot is a DVD drive. Is there anywhere in this thread where I stated that you can use it to watch dvd movies? No. It is used to read and update the navigation maps.

Also you purchased your 4 years ago, mine was purchased last year with navigation maps that are 3 years new than yours, plus I also am including the 2008 updated road maps. Big diffrence.

Further more there have been multiple changed made to the AVIC-D1 since its original manufacturing date. Just because it has the same product number does not mean they are the same. That would be as bad as stating that the 2002 subaru impreza wrx's are the same as the 2008 subaru impreza wrx's. Its just not true. So before you hate do some research. Mine also has its full 4 year manufactures warentee because guess what its brand new... Warentee card included and all.
