I have been having a real problem with condensation forming in my trunk and I can't seem to figure out what is wrong with the drainage system. I feel very bad because my poor trunkmonkey is getting very wet back there:( :D All ideas are welcome. Thanks

I'll bet those red/clear tails that shouldn't be in your "location" are leaking ;).

damn i got the same problem!
my trunk is soaked,
i think it;s because of the spoiler...maybe it;s not sealed up enough on the holes drilled so water leaks in...:(

Yeah, don't you have a different spoiler than the factory version Sean?? That might be the problem.

It's really me paying you back for that WingDome incident.

when i had an inch of water in my trunk it was because the red/clear tails didn't seal all the way across the top and the water was just POURING in...i noticed that the drivers side drain wasn't working...so i still need to investigate that...but the passenger would drip...pull out all your trunk stuff....see how much water you have in there...then reseal the tail lights.

I had to go buck wild with the sealant on the FHI clears. I actually had to re-seal them a couple times before I got it completely right. Check your trunk carpet for dampness next time you wash your car.

The weird thing is that I have had the clear's for about 6 months. This problem developed just recently.......I will definatly check the seal though. Thanks for the replies.

Something to keep in mind... check both the left and right sunroof clear rubber drainage pipes on either side of your RS' trunk behind the felt panelling, so you'll have to remove those bits first to gain access. Make sure the tubes lead into their respective receptacles... mine fell out and it started flooding from there.
There was a whole bunch of standing water which if left unchecked could lead to a rusting problem as it was somewhat bare metal, or so it looked to me anyway.

Maybe your trunkmonkey needs diapers.
Seriously though I bet its the rubber seal around the trunk. My roommates accord leaks and has no spoiler or aftermarket lights. There could maybe be something wedged under the seal that is making a small water passthrough or something

odd.....if it just developedi'd look for a sunroof drain as well....the clears should have stayed sealed....the best stuff to use ont eh lights is strip caulk(dum dum) available from carquest...it's made by 3m...seals wonderful.
