RBelcher00 02-09-2007, 04:15 PM Who's going this weekend besides me??
Any comments from people who've gone last time around?
Will Saturday be a waste of $15? Should it be saved for Sunday?
C'mon.
I'm excited.
RBelcher00 02-09-2007, 05:48 PM Wow.
I guess no one.
Yikes.
speedshark 02-09-2007, 07:42 PM I'll be there on sunday. I signed up to park in the nasioc club parking. I went last year. Just go on sunday. They do all the practicing in the morning, which is the same as saturday, and then race in the afternoon. Maybe i'll see everyone there. I have a 06 WRB WRX with the stock wheels painted black.
RBelcher00 02-09-2007, 08:25 PM There's a NASIOC Club Parking area??
How does one obtain this? Where did you sign up?
I'll look for your car.
stizzer 02-09-2007, 09:15 PM me and kettsupp will be attending this.. there is already a thread about this in the socal forum

stizzer 02-12-2007, 03:13 AM it was very wet in the morning but everything cleared up just in time for the time attack.
the times went something like this:
AWD -- Street Class -- 1st Place -- Robispec EVO, 2nd Place -- EVO 8, 3rd Place -- STi (MXPop -- Grey w/black rims)
AWD -- Modified -- completely forgot =/
AWD -- Unlimited -- 1st Place -- AMS EVO, 2nd Place -- Crawford STi, 3rd place -- black Crawford STi
(this was taken from original thread in socal forum)
stizzer 02-12-2007, 03:14 AM fastest time overall was around 1:08.xxx in the gmg porsche gt3.
WgnWheel 02-12-2007, 05:20 PM that gmg car was so loud in the garages! we were parked in the space right next to them.(white ksport integra type r and white 240sx). i have some decent pics i'll post later.
stizzer 02-12-2007, 06:12 PM hell yea super loud.. even when its just idling i can't hear anything..
dunnojack 02-12-2007, 06:16 PM stizzer- Thanks again for letting me use your tank filler, any pics of my car? (Black with gold decals, Mach III)
narcotix 02-12-2007, 06:43 PM I was expecting to pay through the nose for "admission," but my wife, my kid, and I paid nothing whatsoever! I even printed up the coupon too!
I just drove over to the end of the pits, spectated at the 180, then walked all over and no one said anything!
Stealth spectating at its best.
stizzer 02-12-2007, 07:02 PM stizzer- Thanks again for letting me use your tank filler, any pics of my car? (Black with gold decals, Mach III)
hmm you might have got the wrong guy.. I was just spectating yesterday but I ran my car on Saturday. I wasn't able to take any pictures at all but your car is nice. I think in the morning on one of the practice session your car had some trouble in the grid area and your friend had to do something with the fuses I think. What happened?
dannyp 02-12-2007, 07:52 PM fastest time overall was around 1:08.xxx in the gmg porsche gt3.
1 second behind XS engineering's R32 GT-R (1.07) still holding the record
stizzer 02-12-2007, 07:57 PM yea i was hoping for them to break the record
Ric-STi-R 02-13-2007, 01:18 AM stizzer- Thanks again for letting me use your tank filler, any pics of my car? (Black with gold decals, Mach III)

well, i had some ignition fuse that popped due to a bad wiring that i did myself... but it all got fixed and he went out doing what he can. Unfortunately, they couldnt unlock the pump for 112 octane, so we were running the regular 91 octane map. otherwise, the car would've been a lot faster! suprisingly, it was the most quiet car there other than the turbo screaming out loud coming down the front straight! =P
dunnojack 02-13-2007, 02:27 AM oh, that and plus the intercooler hose popped off the turbo.... of all days to happen... it decided to happen on that day, so we missed out on the second practice session....

wow! awsome shots!! my gf tried to take some action shots but didnt work out too well with a point-and-shoot.... Thanks man! i'm gonna save these pics! not too bad for the first time out! just glad i was able to dial in the suspension just by watching a in-car video of someone driving this track! Just using STANCE coilovers too!
WgnWheel 02-13-2007, 12:48 PM no prob, sorry i didn't get any good ones in the dry! i didn't have any protection for the lens during the rain, so they didn't come out as good as i'd hoped. nice car though!
silvery_eagle 02-13-2007, 07:46 PM AWD -- Street Class -- 1st Place -- Robispec EVO, 2nd Place -- STi (MXPop -- Grey w/black rims), 3rd Place -- EVO 8
this is weird coz the 2nd place is EVO 8 as far as i remembered.
stizzer 02-13-2007, 07:54 PM oh yes that is correct.. i just copied and pasted that from the other thread.. ill edit it right now.

Your car looks so dope in person

the second place winner is the sti, the one from the other post was the results of 2006, not the newest one i believe.
dunnojack 02-14-2007, 12:02 AM Your car looks so dope in person
Thanks! i really appreciate that cuz i was a little worried about how the car looked with that fender (damaged at the impound) but overall, it was good enough. I was pretty happy with the way the car performed, and we only had one real practice session in. the second one was cut short due to a wiring issue. the first one wasnt too great because the camber bolt was knocked loose somehow, so we had to eyeball it :p overall, it was a great weekend (other than the rain) and the car did ok and got to talk to ppl, so no complains!
silvery_eagle 02-14-2007, 05:55 PM the second place winner is the sti, the one from the other post was the results of 2006, not the newest one i believe.

2nd Place: 1:16.771 Ryan Cashin EVO 8

2nd Place: 1:10.318 Tanner Foust Crawford Performance STi
3rd Place: 1:14.681 Kevin Jons Crawford Performance STi
**the amazing thing is tho the second place winner: 2nd Place: 1:16.771 Ryan Cashin EVO 8 is just an independent driver with no sponsor there. Major Props.
dunnojack 02-14-2007, 10:34 PM opps, i stand corrected. i do have to say that their tech was not very strict on the class rules... there were some cars running with mods that are not allowed in the street class, but it's cool, next time i should be more prepared.
Eunos 02-15-2007, 04:31 PM Yo Henry, Brian here. So you guys still don't have any clue how the 2nd session went? Bummer.... It doesn't appear that I picked up any time even though the afternoon felt much faster. I think the track might have just gotten too cold for anybody to pick up much time.
It's still not much to ask for posted times for all 6 laps from everybody. Oh well.

I would like to know... that means our guys aren't doing their jobs, and I need to know about it.

I know that Chris had planned to upload ALL of the lap times from the event Tuesday night...however, when he went to upload the files, our server was down for maintenance at the host. Last night we had a 3 hour long meeting so that prevented Chris from doing the work as well. I expect to see the times on the site tonight.

I've heard this as well.
I imagine things will get better as the season goes along.
dunnojack 02-17-2007, 03:26 PM Brian- Hey man! How was the drive home? Hope all was well. We were able to shave 3 seconds off compared to the first heat, so not too bad. Just needed a little more power i guess and brakes. Overall, i'm satisfied for our first time out considering how unprepared we looked compared to the other teams! but we'll be more prepared for Buttonwillow! hope to see you there too!
Nik- What's up man! hey, please dont get what i said the wrong way. You guys were awsome and the event ran sooooo smooth that i can not complain. I was only mentioning the tech thing to you that day because when i noticed it, i just felt a little uneased about it. But, i didnt not take any gandors at the top 3 guys, and i dont believe they have any mods that would break the street class rules. but overall, i loved the event, had tons of fun, met a lot of awsome folks, and i'm just excited and waiting for the April event!
