Did anybody try tuning a stock STI (ECUTek, Protune, any other one, doesn't matter) without changing anything? What power gains did you see? I know that the cats are retrictive, and I know that throwing in a K&N filter would help too, the mods can go on and on, so I thank in advance all the folks who would try to steer this thread into that direction.

But all I'm trying to find out is what power gains the stock setup is good for. If there is already a thread with that info, I would appreciate a link to it.

Thanks, guys.

P.S. If nobody ever done that, please dont hesitate to throw in your best guess.

Stage 1(generally just a tune) can produce very good power numbers. Especially on an 07:)

yep, heard about that :) I'm waiting on AP and then thinking of what to do with the car to make it fun to drive but still keep it reliable enough to drive without major problems until it's paid off (i.e for 5 years)
