Hello buddies...
i am from Germany, and havent much response of the difference between the older 44S LINK ECU and the newer G2 / G3 LINK ECU over here.
Can anyone tell me ?
I drive a 2.0 Subaru WRX STi (My04)
Thanks in advance
Both the g2 and g3 are way way ahead of the 44s. Think of the g2 as the middle man, older injector driver and circuit board setup of the old linkplus but with the newer 40mhz cpu and software options. The G3 is 100% new from the ground up and can do avcs unlike the g2.
For your car a plugin g3 would work best if using a Link product.
There's others out there, Autronic do a nice plugin sm4 for your car.

I think a Hydra or Autronic would be better for the car.
I believe with the number of zone available, you can just do more for a safer tune.
This is a little something that I put together with the data available from off the net.

For the sm4 in your chart.
Auxillary Inputs = 3
Auxillary outputs = 8 but any other spare injector or ignition output can be used so that would give more, up to 14 when used on a 4cyl with wasted spark.
Check engine light control = yes either for codes or any other warning you can think of.
Mapping per cylinder = yes fuel and spark.
DBW = Yes but do at your own risk.
I would call the sofware very good and the interaction between the datalogs and tuning very good.
