I have an 02 wrx with the cold cabin fuel smell. i went to my dealership and found this to be an 800 fix! I have contacted SOA about this, and I'm currently waiting to find out what they can do. Has anyone else dealt with SOA on this issue? And what was the results.

Even if you have to pay for the repair (which you most probably will, unless you DIY) that is too much.

Recall what parts? There is no recall at all, so how can they recall a part and if so, then who pays for the labor as the part doesn't include labor.
They have a TSB which just tells the Technicians what upgraded part to use. If you are still under warranty, it is covered. If it isn't under warranty, good luck and SOA might Goodwill the repair as a case by case basis only.
We charge around $360 with the new part to do the repair.

Unfortunately none of the affected 02's are under warranty at this point. Unless you can get the dealer to do a goodwill repair, which is rare but not unheard of, this fix will be at the owner's expense.

I have done 1 03 under SAS but all the other 02's were paid by the customer.
