I have an 06 STI and I currently have an Accessport for it but I heard that the ecutek is better! Can anyone tell me why would ecutek be better and in what way?

Where did you hear that from?

It really depends on what your needs are. I chose the AP for a couple reasons. One, the ease of changing maps and running in real time. I believe to change maps on the EcuTek, you have to use a laptop and do a reflash. Plus if I upgrade from stage one to stage two to a vf39 I can just download OTS maps instead of having to buy a new map each time. Not to mention anti-theft, economy etc.
I also like plugging in a little device and clearing CEL codes myself. Dont get me wrong, Ive seen alot of really good numbers on the EcuTek. I just dont feel it has as many practical day to day features as the AP

they are both just tuning tools. the real benfits lie in the tuner.
