Hi I'm wondering what kind of mileage I can expect to get. I have an 04, bought in mid-03. It's a 2.0 turbo. Got's 100K miles on it, all put on by me ;p.

Always gave oil changes @ 3500 miles. Did the 90,000 service. Do you think I can get up to 200K on this? Will the tranny or turbo likely to break down sometime? Should I be selling this soon while I can still get $9 or 10G?

Thanks.

You can easily get 200k miles if you keep up with routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, brake fluid, spark plugs, tranny fluid, other fluids topped off) and if you discover problems early before parts break completely and possibly damage other things.

My 1996 Legacy has 165,000 miles on it. Its still running well (knock on wood). I've changed the oil every 3000 miles, and replaced belts/etc and done all the scheduled maintence.

The only thing wrong with it as far as I can tell is the body is going, but thats becasue im in the northeast, and they salt the roads here.

Turbo's are cheap, you can get stock TD04's for under $100 here, most of which are low mileage and in great shape. You can send that in to have it rebuilt/port/polished by numerous companies for a decent charge, much less then a new td04.

anyway, just make sure you do the timing belt soon... breaking that and you will see a very expen$ive bill!

There have been reports of vacuum lines cracking due to the numerous heat cycles they are subjected to in the WRX. Haven't personally had it happen on my car yet, and I'm at 92K miles. However, I did have that problem on my 900 turbo with 135k miles.
