I have a stock 2005 wrx wagon, and I'm thinking of putting this on as a direct replacement. I not looking for performance gains but that would be nice there was. I'm looking for a good exhaust note...not too loud and not too soft. Does this muffler meet this criteria?

I think you should get the OEM STI muffler. get A catless Mid pipe $149 and have someone cut the resonator on the mid pipe and weld a straight pipe. You will love the sound. I have this on my STi. Is quiet, but sporty.

Thanks for the input...but too late. I have a prodrive oval coming tomorrow...from the posts it should sound pretty throaty
