it looks like it's time for a new battery. Consider buying DHG, I hear its weight is comparable to that of stock battery, so it should be around 31lbs.
Can someone post exact weight for DHG?

Found with a quick search on sears.com-

Specs say 39 lbs., it's a porker.
Optima Group 35 Red Top is 33 lbs.

thank you Sir. I'll probably get Optima redtop unless I will convince myself to get somewhat lighter Baker or Miata battery.

Best to avoid a lightweight unless you really need the weight reduction for competition. IMO not worth the tradeoff in cranking and reserve capacity for those few lbs. on a street-driven car especially since you're in NJ where it gets cold.
I've had my Red Top in the car for almost 5 years now and it's still doing great. No problems starting with the current cold snap.

I have the DHG that I just got to replace my crappy stock battery. It is a bit heavier than stock and the Red Tops as well. I'm not too concerned about a few pounds as I really need the CCA's that this thing has for the -30 ish winter days I get here. Plus it's a good deal cheaper than a Red Top.
Does a few pounds in the front really matter anyway? I mean, how much difference does a half tank of gas in the rear make? Exactly, so just keep the tank always full and it'll help offset the extra weight upfront. ;)
You'll also have a few extra presidents leftover for some other mod/upgrade as well.
