So, last night my passenger side foglight went out (I am assuming the bulb just burned out). I have been searching to find out how to change the bulb as well as where to get a new bulb, but I have not been able to find what I am looking for. I just need to know how to get to the foglight bulb and replace it on a 2003 WRX wagon and what kind/where to buy the foglight bulbs from? Thanks for all the help.

If I decide to not just get the standard replacement bulbs for my foglights, what are my other options? Does anybody recommend any bulbs that will still look good with the factory bulbs in the headlights?

Got an owners manual? I have PIAA ION H3 as replacements and absolutely love them. If you cant find H3 in yellow try ATV or snowmobile shops.

I do not have any special subaru owner's manual. I just have what came with the car when I bought it used. There is a small subaru manual in it. Does it contain info about changing foglight bulbs? I didn't think that it would.

Thanks for the reply

The bulbs are H3, and are available at most auto-parts stores. To change the bulb, the foglight must be removed. It's easiest [at least for me] to use a 10mm deep socket with an extension. Alternatively, you could use a long Phillips screwdriver to remove the three bolts. I suggest using the socket because the bolts can be a bit stubborn if they've never been removed before.

I have the PIAA H-3 Ion (yellow) bulbs in stock. The yellow light improves visibility, depth perception, dramatically. I have used yellow bulbs in my fog lights for many years. My 97 sport wagon has Hella Micro DE fog lights with Hella yellow star bulbs now and one has burned out. The Hella bulbs are no longer reliably yellow so I am changing to the PIAA ion.
