I own an '05 wrx and I just installed a catless uppipe, utec delta, TBE, Larger TMIC, 565 Injectors, 255lph fuel pump, and 16g. Before I installed the tmic I started the car to see if it would run fine and it sounded like ****, basically it sounded like a 454 big block and the engine was shaking. So i shut it off. The map was set at the downloadable turbo xs stage one from the map selector. Is this the problem? Im going to switch to stage 4 map (and yes I know that it is conservative and running rich, but ill get it tuned later). Or is it something else? Please let me know, im in need of my car. Any help would be GREAT.

Yes, switch to stage 4 map...stage 1 isn't set up for the injectors...also double check all the little hoses and such to make sure they're attached and make sure you injectors aren't leaking and are seated properly...
http://www.turboxs.com/deltawrxupdate.htm
It lists all the map stages and appropriate mods for them...also make sure the maps are where you want them on the map selector...i.e. I had my custom map on #1 and stock stage 4 on #2

Thanks..Yeah i figured that it was too low of stage for the setup and thats why it was crapping out on me.

Definitely save up for or get a Protune though...It will make a world of difference...Just to show you my path through engine managment, I got a Utec stock stage 4 map...ran good...adjusted fuel and timing myself a bit got it to run a little better...bought a PDX 2.5 map and tactrix cable and dumped the Utec, runs great...Having it Protuned Thurs with Andy at verocious/xotic motorsports with ecutek...i'll let you know how it turns out, but i'm expecting good results, b/c our cars LIVE off of Protunes...Hindsite is 20/20 and I should've just got it protuned to begin with, not a year later...

Urrmmm, the car is MAF based, without the TMIC installed the engine would have no idea how much air was going into the engine. You have to have the complete intake track hooked up
