View Full Version : Possible to "drill" out universal four spoke to fit pattern?

Title says it all.
A friend of mine has these extra rims laying around, but the bolt pattern is a universal four spoke.
Is there a shop that can drill them out to fit for me?

That would look pretty ghetto, not to mention the structural integrity of your new wheels would be highly suspect.

Very bad idea. You'd be losing a lot of material to make it work. Don't even think about it.

Do you even know what size and offset these wheels are?

Yes, I checked that out, they would have worked... Except for the bolt pattern of course :p

Just out of curiousity, what if you welded up the old holes?

There was a GTO owner who drilled out a set of Kosei K1 TS's to fit his car and ran a season or two of autox on them without any problems.. I'm not planning on doing this but would it work?

I've heard of people going from 5x100 to 5x114.3 but you say you have a universal 4 bolt, so that already has 8 holes in it? And you want to add 5 more? I wouldn't want to run the risk, IMHO, YMMV, etc.
