It's almost time for me to replace my tires on my 06 tr. I need a high performance all-season tire. I was thinking of Bridgestone Potenza RE960 AS or Yokohama Advan S4 in 225/45r17. Does anybody own a set of either of these tires and could post a review? thanks in advance

Specs
Bridgestone Potenza RE 960 AS
treadwear 400
traction AA
temprature A
price $143 each at Tire rack

Yokohama Advan S4
treadwear 400
traction AA
temprature A
price $150 each at Tire rack

the specs on these tires are identical and the price diffrence is very minimal
this is why I am having a hard time with my tire choice

I like Dunlop SP5000, just to cause more headaches ;-)

If you want the best bang for the buck, go with Falken Ziex 512's on www.edgeracing.com. I think 205/55/16 tires would only cost you like $85/tire or less

I saw a lot of good reviews on the Bridgestone, should go for BS. But remember to put more pressure as those people said.

Look locally at a Firestone store (online quote avail) for the Bridgestone. The pricing was less than tirerack since they have a 10% rebate till 3/31/2007. I am incredibly happy with the dry, wet and winter traction. On winter traction they are really very good and I had a high bar of using Nokian NRW just before getting Re960's. Wet traction is also incredible.

The RE960's do not have a squishy sidewall like the Falken 512(owned) or Kumho ASX(researched) but obviously are more $$$.

go with Bridgestone Potenza RE 960 AS...

they are defiantly tried and true here on the forums. Unlike most All season tires, which are "good" all around and great in a few areas, the RE 960 AS really are GREAT in ALL areas, which of course comes at a cost. Get them and don't look back. If I didnt already have Pirelli Pzero Neros, those are the tires I'd get hands down
