So my motor gets here any day now..

I have a 99L Wagon what has the MAF connection. The engine I ordered is a EJ25 from a 01RS, I am told it has a MAP sensor.

I thought aslong as I got a 99+ motor it would be plug and play. So what do I do about the MAF/MAP situation? Do I have to use a 00+ ECU and wireing now? Or can I simply just take off the MAF connection?

What else should I be aware of?

check his info. iirc 01 RS are MAF like your 99 2.2l.

Didn't they convert back to maf sometime after '01?

put the 99 harness on the 00 block ignore the map sensor

404 - ej20G out ej20k in. currently no engine, tranny or rear diff

My gf's 99 obs is definitely map - aren't they (99+ 2.2s) all?

This has been the easiest swap ever so far..I have like 1 more wire to connect and put my exh on..maybe 8 hours total including pulling the old one..Had to lengthen 0 wires just swapped IM's and everything re-connected fine

I'll let everyone know when im done and how it runs.. Gotta go buy oil tomorrow
