I'm not a 100% sure if I may sell my motor and tranny to upgrade to an sti setup. I have these two questions.

1. What's the average going rate for a complete US WRX motor (ej205) and tranny? The motor would come equipped with a VF-22, pinks, uppipe, and sti top mount.

2. Also, what about the rate for just the shortblock?

Oh, and yes, I've done my fair share of searching.

east coast swappers.com has good prices for complete swaps.

the mileage just hit 64,000. As far as compression, I haven't had it tested. This is just an idea right now. Assuming that were to go well, what would be an average price be?

im going to say something like 3500-4200 for everything(including wiring and ECU).

i dont think you will see much more than that though.

of your not going to be stripping out the wireing it you will probblay make more $ by parting it out

Unless I had dyno sheets and a tune from a reputible tuner to look at, I wouldn't touch an Ej205 that had seen boost from a vf22. That said, and assumed, I would put the value of the longblock alone around $1200-1500.
I would put the turbo at $400-600.
Tranny is worth $500-700.
Shortblock only around $400-500.

All of this assumes the compression number are good and the turbo isn't done (lifespan on vf22's isn't known for being terribly long)...
