Hmmmm... I recently posted in a thread about the WRX, RSX, power, and torque and now I can't find the thread.

Weird.

So, I searched for a few key words. No good. Then I searched for my own user name. According to search results, I haven't posted since November, but I've actually posted a few times this week!

I don't remember the exact thread title, but it was 5 pages long and HorhayAtAMD and I had posted several times.

Am I going crazy or is there a problem with the forum's server?

A) It was in the wrong forum to begin with so it would have been moved but
B) It got deleted... you won't find it, and any record of that post is removed from your post count and from when you search for threads you posted in. The board under vBulletin hasn't "lost" any threads like UBB used to do that I'm aware of ;).

Why?

If you determined it wasn't a worthy topic, why not just close it? Deleting it was excessive (especially without any explanation).

WRX vs. All type threads are being watched closely, as these either just beat on a dead horse, or turn into flamewars/pissing contests, so they go bye bye!

The thread in question featured the RSX...if you do a search you'll find countless topics on the RSX, even VS WRX debates im sure...

Fair enough... though IMHO it's rude to not post a "this thread has been closed" statement with a forwarding URL to the dead thread's new location.

How do I review old messages in the dead thread storage forum? I can't find it. I assume closed threads are available for reference.

Actually, it was my mistake. I shouldve just locked it with a reason explained at the last msg.


The dead thread storage forum is for threads that warrant being deleted (this one didnt, and i apologize) and instead of being deleted, we move them over there for reference to the moderators.

Again, i apologize for my mistake, it should just have been locked and not deleted.

why apologize?? accidents happen, we are only human ya know?? and yes the WRX Vs....dog poop threads are out of hand...they are everywhere in every forum and it turns into yes a "pissing match", as my prog there so elequently put it. I am glad to see more watch being kept over them. Moderators my hat is off to you.
