View Full Version : VF30 Auto Wagon tuned by Andy
Ginsu 03-15-2007, 07:21 PM I know it's not going to sound like alot to you guys with Manuals but my baseline was
HP=229.38
Tq=200.78
That was running the XPT stage 2.5 map at 17.5psi
My mods are:
vf30
Ebay tmic
greddy profec b spec II EBC
Deatschwerks 650cc injectors
Protorque T/C
IPT Valve Body
Andy at Verocious Motorsports was an Awesome guy and very nice and got my car up to:
HP=246.09
Tq=221.75
running 19 psi
Really can tell a difference with the butt dyno...spool up is quicker and stronger...makes me just want to mod even more...depends on which blows first my motor or my turbo...lol! Dyno was a Dynojet and I know with auto's they're not 100% accurate (obviously)...only way to tell is to take it to the track...I'll try to post up the graph in a little bit...
Kevin Thomas 03-15-2007, 07:26 PM Good numbers! Andy's with Verocious Motorsports now eh? I talked to Alex at Verocious yesterday (was picking up some silicone hoses) and he told me the Xotic dyno would be moving next door to him with Andy. Nice! Now instead of 1/2 hour away, the dyno will be 7 minutes away from me. Woohoo!
D Money 03-15-2007, 07:30 PM ok, so we all known Xotic is no longer, but they are not using the Xotic spot? Where is Verocious motorsports at? I know Andy is the man so, wherever he goes, I go!
He tuned me twice, definately the best tuner around IMO.
Ginsu 03-15-2007, 09:23 PM I Know it's now Verocious but still has the Xotic sign and is still in Cochranville...I didn't ask and he didn't tell...but from what he told a customer it sounds like he's not planning on moving anytime soon...just for some perspective about my #'s he told me his bosses (previous?) wagon had a similar set-up but with an 18g and put down 275whp on the dyno and ran a 12.4 and Andy's STI was over 300 whp and ran a 12.4...I mention this only as an example of #'s a Manual and another Automatic put down on his dynojet
disque71 03-15-2007, 09:27 PM Stock STI's dyno XXXhp at Verocious?
renegade_ 03-15-2007, 09:43 PM Stock STis put down ~240, I believe. Friend of mine did 245 and that is very good for a stock STi. That was an 05
SinistiR 03-15-2007, 10:25 PM Hey its Andy from Verocious.
Glad to here the butt dyno is telling you good things. The autos never tell good storys on the dyno, but put them on the street and they always feel faster than what the numbers say. If you need any help with the graphs, just let me know and I can walk you through how to post them, or you can just tell me which ones you want up, and I can post them for you.
The shop is in the location that use to be Xotic, but like Kevin said will most likely be moving to Wilmington.
A stock STi will put down 255 +/- 5 whp on out dynojet.
Ginsu 03-15-2007, 10:43 PM Will the one in Wilmington be easier to get to...lol...rather than in the middle of cow country...I love the results...pulls MUCH better, plus the piece of mind that its running great with no knock is priceless...I guess i'll have to look into a brake upgrade now,lol...I just found out i might be getting a bit of money my way so i might be contacting you about a retune for my new 18g...lol...we'll see...If you want to post the graph you can, the ones you sent had all the pulls but the 246 one...It'd be good just b/c you don't get to see alot of dyno'd auto results...Thanx again!!!
SinistiR 03-15-2007, 10:46 PM Yes, Wilimington will be easier to get to for everyone. I'll miss all my cow buddies, but oh well, onward and upward.
Bring the 18g on, you have all the other supporting mods.
I'll post some graphs in the morning.
Andy def. is a great guy to deal with and takes his time to make sure everything is right. Andy did an 18g on my G/F 04 wrx with an auto and was very pleased with the way things were done.
checque 03-16-2007, 01:58 AM +1 for Andy, I can't thank him enough for making time to get my second tune done!
SinistiR 03-16-2007, 10:55 AM Not a problem guys, glad I could help.
Now for the graphs. First run is at 17.8psi, and 185* of coolant temp with an OTS map, the last run is at 19.5 psi and 198* coolant temp with my custom map using EcuTek.

pearljam11 03-17-2007, 04:04 AM Andy or anyone whose been tuned at Xotic, I was just wondering how much would a tune with an AP cost? (license + dyno time)
Thanks
lawn boy 03-17-2007, 04:14 AM andy how long are you gonna be at the current location?
InfiniteMotorsports 04-14-2007, 12:27 PM Hey guys, Jake from Verocous here.
We have another three weeks or so at the "cow" location before we move. Our down time will be limited to one week which I'm certain will prove to be well worth it when you see the new facility.
pearljam, are you looking for a protune or to purchase an AP?
Keep your eyes out I will be announcing an "Announce the New Verocious Facility" meet soon. We will also be hosting a large grand opening when the Wilmington location opens for business, hopefully second week of May.
