Came across this brief UK-spec Sti article and thought I'd post the link. Those lucky folks evidently get to choose between an "entry level" Sti (there's laugh, an entry level Sti!), and a Prodiive version. I hope there will be a wagon version as well.

That IS really cool. Oh well, it's small consolation, but the brits do get screwed pretty badly on pricing. The WRX over there costs about 50% more than it does here when you calculate the exchange, and it's true for most cars that are available on both sides of the pond. Euro manufacturers cite the relatively rarity of RHD when explaining their prices, but I don't know how the Japanese can explain it away given their RHD domestic market.

Hmmm

We have been well shafted here in the UK, but the tide is beginning to turn. Up to now we have paid the equivalent of $31,800 for a WRX (different spec, but similar to the US model) whereas on the continent of Europe they pay only $22,400. So what has happened? a lot of us have imported our cars from Europe, to the extent that over 50% of sales in Holland are to the UK (me included)!

With the STi the pricing has changed to reduce the differential, but it is still cheaper on the continent about $3000 less.

We are not getting the WRX STi Wagon in Europe, but is it a loss as it is spec'd less than the Sedan?
