Are all the emissions type vacuum lines needed for engine operation or only for emission purposes? Does ecu need the readings or will it function with or with out? Would blocking lines increase power/ Race setup maybe?
This is a NA question more or less?

I'll give some instances, Pvc doesn't seem to be needed but if the computer doesnt know its gone what happens. EGR seems to be only for emissions. Hasn't anyone dealt with this on any other cars or can tell me what happens when the code faults a least.

A lot of things need to be plugged in, but they dont need to be functional.

For instance I no longer have a purge control valve, EGR valve, air assist valve, and some other valve...but all of the sensors are plugged in. Most of them are capped off or have a vacuum source but the output goes know where.

in reality, "emission devices" such as egr, canister purge, air injection, don't cause any power losses, with the exception of weight.

you might be able to take all that stuff off and save 50lbs.

Usually, and I venture to say ALWAYS, they are not used at WOT and Open loop.

Why mess with it and try to turn 100 DTC's off in your processor?

Well one of my thoughts was that EGR may increase air intake temprature reducing possible power.

As for the others, would vacuum decrease intake potential of the heads?
