Hello there people! Being that I am a newbie to owning a scooby, I dont really know if this should go here but oh well correct me if im wrong.
Here goes:
Just the other day I did a couple of the DIY mods ie... foglight mod, air silencer, DRL removal, and cutting the weather strip in front of the air intake. Now it seems that my car has a little bit of a bouncy idle. I was letting the turbo cool down today when I got to work and it was a nice uneven idle at aroung 500 rpm it would kinda go down a little bit and then back up....
So any help would be GREAT
Thanks

It doesn't have anything to do with your mods. Its your boxer engine with no balancing shaft. I currently have no mods on my car (haven't put them in/on yet), and mine does the same thing. Trait of the car.

Did you reset the ECU? I did, just by having the negative of the
battery disconnected for the 2+ hours it took me to do the
silencer mod. I noticed that after I did mine, I had some 'bouncy'
RPMs shortly after, but now it 'seems' to have sorted itself out.
Honestly, I haven't looked that closly during idle, but I'll double
check. I'd reset the ECU if you haven't already, though...

I have reset the ECU yesterday, when i did the foglight mod. I did the airsilencer on tues (didnt drive until today) and have only driven about 23 miles since.

any time you disconnect the battery the cur will idle funny. just let it sit for a while and ilde on its own and it should be fine. let it idle outside the house for like 10 mins. its def not a trait of the car no worries there

That happened every time the battery went dead on my Civic....the RPMs would go up & down on idle - car drove fine though.
