Last year at this time I spun a rod bearing in my stage 4 02 wrx. I gave Phil at Element Tunning a call and asked him to do a 2.5 shortblock with my 2.0 heads. When the motor was done my friend was parting out his sti with an exteranly gated SZ49, so I bought that and took of my VF30. I got the car road tuned and babied for the next whole year.(boy did it suck to go to the track and watch and not race) I was so afraid that my trans would explode. So I finaly broke down and had AndrewTech put some PPG gears in the car. Also I decided to buy A Hydramist kit to. When I took it to Phil to get it tuned on the dyno my Hydramist was not hook up right so by the time I fixed it,we could not get on the dyno and we just road tuned it. Boy did the car pull hard. When I got home I called a friend up that is opening a shop up with a AWD Dynojet and asked if I could make some pulls. I was very happy I put down 412 to the wheels with 93 oct and Hydramist. I forgot to bring race gas so we did not get to run my setting for 30pounds. All in all I am very excited with my setup and can not wait to go to the track. Thanks Phil and ElementTuning you kick a**

Very Nice Scott! A bugeye with 400+whp is always impressive. That 2.5sb with the wrx heads and sti cams makes good power. What did your non-alchy map put down?
Also, I see your on a stand alone ecu. Is that necessary to do the hybrid? Or did you do it knowing Phil was tuning it?

Nice numbers..... It looks like we have about the same setup. When do you see full boost and how much are you running on pump.

I don't know what the car does with out the hydramist.I will be going back again to find out. They did not have a fan yet for in front of the car so the car was getting hot quick, so I did not do to many pulls. As for the stand alone, I had Cobbs StreetTuner before the Hydra. We found out that the streettuner dose not give you full controll like a protuner does. I was really pist because Cobb told me they were the same and after we had problems they told me different. My only option then was to go get someone to do a protune. So I sold my AP and streettuner software and bought a Hydra because I will not let any one else but Phil touch my car.

I think full boost hits around 3500. The power comes so fast it is hard to watch.

wow, great setup!
since you already have the 2.5l block , sti heads and the hydra, did you ever think abou getting sti heads and running avcs? I felt a big difference when I went that route.
curious to what times you'l be getting.

Those are some pretty impressive numbers. I bet the car really screams.

The car does scream, I really want to see what happens with some race gas and 30 pounds. As far as the heads I was told the sti heads do not flow much better and would be a waste to buy. That is why I did not buy a complete motor. :)
