szeny 03-18-2007, 07:28 PM P0244 Wastegate control solenoid valve malfunction (high input)
its boost creep...im guessing you have a turboback exhaust and no tune? or need a better tune?
novacivic 03-18-2007, 07:35 PM p0244=boost creep. get em like accessport this will hepl prevent boost creep. Boost creep is bad. Its when your watsegate is opening enough to bypass the correct amount of exhaust to control boost and it keeps building more boost. What happens is when you hit about 17-20 psi the car will hit fuel cut. this increase in boost can hurt your motor bad.
Mcahol3 03-18-2007, 11:01 PM Yup Just Droped in a TBE... So Get a Tune ASAP?
i was thinkin About Gettin A Up pipe before i got the tune...

DONT gut your own. If you dont get all of that cat out and you start your car and it jars loose, guess where it goes, YOUR RECENTLY BLOWN TURBO. buy an up-pipe. iirc i think surge has a used one. but if your in north phoenix surge is a drive and a half. and also if your in north phoenix Travis isn't that far. suck it up and have him tune it pronto. I think he has today and tomarrow off
shemoves 03-19-2007, 01:02 PM Always tune for your mods. The exception is having Boost, AFR, and EGT gauges, and a knocklite, such that you can see that the car is still running properly.

^^^ EDITED^^^ If being the key word. I wouldn't take that chance.
Lazaride 03-19-2007, 03:35 PM gutting the up pipe is an option for sure, but as pointed out it comes with fine print - :D - drop the 190.00 or whatever and get a perrin up pipe (new bungless one) as far as install it will be another 2bills in labor unless you knock it out yourself - Seems like your next step (first step) would be to consult a tuner. get what you got running right before you add to the mix.
There is a writeup on how to gut the up pipe, pics and all - and a video of how to remove and install the up pipe - it even shows/tells you what tools you'll need at the very begining. Good luck
szeny 03-19-2007, 04:23 PM ^^ word.. you should be able to tune for that downpipe and fget rid of that creep.. the uppipe can wait
Mcahol3 03-19-2007, 05:49 PM yeah im talkin to travis... about what i should do next either a tune or get that effin uppipe....UPPIPE!
So IM on the Search!
