i bought a block today and its not that i dont trust the kid but how do i know what i got he says its a ej207 block how can i tell by looking at it????

Is it a long block or a short block? What do you intend to do with it?

its a bare block and i want to sleeve it and build it up from there forged crank rods and pistons, v 7 big port heads etc, but i wanna now if i got what i payed for

It should have EJ20 cast into it and the deck should be semi-closed.

Depending on power goals, you most likely won't need to sleeve this.

It's a beefy block...

yep thats an ej207. argh wish you would have bought mine. i've been trying to sell a ej207 bare block for awhile, super clean too.

I just sold my ej207 for $400. that was for the block, crank (questionable if it's able to be re-used), 4 good pistons, 4 rods (1 with damage from the spun rod bearing)

I just gave away a ver 8 spec C block... complete, nothing wrong with it...included oil pump and water pump for $900!

But, at least it went to another person on this board.
