Ok me and some buddys are fabricating this, so the question is: Can I eliminate the coolant feed and return on the TD04, and only run oil cooled?
I know a lot of turbo's (mainly mitsu) are mostly all oil cooled only, but can you take an oil/coolant cooled turbo and make it strictly oil cooled?

yes, it only NEEDS an oil feed. The water is to allow it to cool properly without the use of a turbo timer.

that turbo might be kind of large though. look into a RBH5 vf11 or vf7, itl spool better.

if i can find this old quad magazine i have ill tell you what turbos they used
some dude from puerto rico turbo'd a 400EX and a Raptor 660..both were pushing in upwards of 70 hp..which is insane on a quad.
I dont get how they idle though since they're carburated (sp) and not EFi..I guess the air screw might help to some extent.

guys are turboing suzuki DRZ's and used smaller 3 cyl turbos. they had very little lag, and were well worth it!

thanks for the replies.... are the vf11 and 7's the subaru housing flange? cause if the td04 happens to have too much lag then we will swap to the 11/7 if necissary
