So we just pulled my JDM wrx 2.0L motor apart, due to a slight rod issue. When this motor was purchased there was not much info on it and I was told that it was duplicate to a US 2.0 other than the 9.0 compression and the addition of AVCS. Well, during removal we found a few interesting things. The intake ports are completely different and shimless buckets. Here are comparison pictures for the ports, the first one in the jdm head and the second one is the us head. And the rest are just a couple of pictures of the jdm heads. Just thought I would share.
