C-ing is believing
This C-Type Coupe looks like a barn find prototype that Jaguar experimented with in the 1950s.

The only thing is, Jaguar never built a coupe version of the C-Type, so replica builder Proteus has come up with one.

Looking every inch the classic road racing machine, the Proteus C-Type Coupe will be unveiled at this weekend's International Historic Motorsport Show at Stoneleigh Park.

The car on display will be a half-scale model, but the company says that if public reaction is positive, it will add the Coupe to its existing open-top C-Type replica range.

The show will also mark the launch of Proteus under its new owner Enduro, which has also built C-Type replicas.

Now, Proteus will concentrate on building the cars, and Enduro on supplying parts.

That could be quite killer, if it is produced.

PROOF that Jaguar used to make cars that didn't look like something your grandfather would drive to the club to play golf.

Now that Fjord owns them, all they can seem to make are snazzy versions of the Taurus.

I think you are giving them to much credit by calling it snazzy. ^^^^^
