I'm lookin at a ej20H with manual transmission or somthing says it has twin turbo. Came out of a legacy and has 60,000 miles. If I buy this how much of a pain is it to put in a 95 L auto AWD. WHat else do I need(differential,axles, gas tank?,) I've read the swap forums but I need someone who has done this to lay it all out there for me.

I don't get it( it says 2.0 with auto transmission $700) the picture looks like it's twin turbo but they say includes everything listed but doesn't list turbos. Theyre on ebay I just want to know is this right can someone check this out please. Even if after posting this all engines vanish I just want to know. Plus I really want 5 speed in my car and want to know all I need.So maybe I can put that in first and don't have to buy engine/trans at once(shipping together may be cheaper though) NEED HELP my Impreza is just sitting there in the garage begging to be tore apart but I need direction. HELP ME PLEASE

You have to go RHD to run a tt. Alternatively, you can run it as a single turbo. You really dont want this ratsnest of an engine. Find yourself pretty much anything else, _except_ a tt.

i'm pretty sure you don't have to go rhd to use this engine but it will be a lot harder than any other swap, from what i've heard. i guess it can be very difficult due to the lack of wiring diagrams that are available

the TT is a horrible engine in order for it to work you need to relocate major components ie 2nd turbo and vacume control box so it won't hit the steering rack
look at the other ej20Gs on ebay
they are $700 for a reason ..

Man thinking about all this makes my head swim. Can you trust jdm engines or should I only buy one if I can afford it breaking right away.? How reliable are they guys? What should I look for? Gimme some stories. Will it ever run right or is it just constant tuning of bad running engine till it breaks? I'd go with 2.5 na but would like 200ish hp and thats not possible?
I need some good webpages and stuff because I read these forums all day everyday and get nothing but discouraged by people talking about problems with there swap. Some tell me some good stuff about all this and boost my confidence please. pun intended

Get a 25 block, some cams, some mild headwork and you can hit 140ish whp. Its more torque than a wrx, and cheap cheap. Check the NA forum. If you blow up a 25, you can just source another from a junkyard for like 500$. Thats infinitely cheaper than dealing with the cost of a swap, and cost definitely seems to be a factor for you.
