it shows what your car puts down for hp and tq. say like before and after for mods and such

yep, just to see what youre making for power.
this is a smoken deal for 3 pulls, most shops charge closer to $100 for this kind of deal, and you dont get free food and drink, nor do you get to hang out with some sweet subie guys.

its also a little meet as well. I'm sure some people will show up just for free food and to see/make friends.

Lets clarify... A dyno run is bringing a car up to its limits and trying to make full power or more. Thus if there is anything special you want me to do, then let me know ahead of time. If I feel your setup is wacky I will mandate AFR, and let off if its lean.

Anyway, he was obviously joking. If you want to start **** before you even go there and meet the new people that work there, then that says a whole lot about the kind of person you are. You ask for a dyno slot list a few posts before and as soon as someone says something slightly negative then you jump on the wagon as well, also says a whole lot about you as well.

If you dont want to go, dont go.

When it comes to a place that dyno's cars. I don't want to hear them saying they will blow up cars no matter what context it is in. I really don't care about the work they do as I wouldn't have them do it. I just wanted to have my car up on the dyno see what’s in it.

The car needs to fully warm up, they usually make the highest numbers on the 2nd or 3rd pull.

I have no idea what to expect from the car, it should handle 3 pulls on the dyno easily. I dont think the car is out of tune, It has quite a bit of work but nothing major other than the complete exhaust and intake.

I didnt know you were located in COncord. Lol im in loudon and i drive down to hookset for my repair shop...Wow. I need to pay more attention, i might have to come in tomorrow and see what you can do about my belt always squealing! So far, i have 3shops that have "fixed" the problem! lol, not yet has it been done correctly.

Just make sure all your fluids are topped off and everything is running fine. We won't be doing any tuning that day, so your AP is not needed, but you can bring it if you want to try a certain map or something.

OK then count me in. oh yeah and i found the directions on the website, dunno how i missed it before.

Mike - it seems like TDC tuning did the first post so you can edit that post. I'd suggest you include a list like:

TDC = noobs at the dyno day. My suggestion, take deposits by phone for the time slot requested. That way when people don't show after they said they would be there, your not waiting around or losing money/time for others who want in. Just my 2 cents from the many past dyno days we've had, not a slam by any means.

Also, can we get a standardized registration process going here? I'm all for deposits if it guarantee's a dyno spot for me. What ever it is, there seems to be a lot of interest here so the more organized the better.

the only problem with setting up a dyno list is this is on more than one forum.

its here, clubwrx, seacoastsubarus, flat4nh.

your best bet is like robk said, show up a little earlier then you want to go on, show off your car, eat, drink then go on the dyno. we did the same thing at f1dynos dyno day last year.

Visited TDC yesterday and Mike is the man. I should be able to make it to this one and see what the headers you guys put on Make.

yeah, i liked the f1dyno setup, first pay first go...and so forth. went through swith no problems, except those bent rods on a few of the dyno'd cars, lol.

Copy the list and add yourselves, if your not here for your time slot, we take the next person, if they are not ready we take whomever is ready!

edit: i would definitely go for a morning spot but since it's like an hour drive i wouldn't have anytime to hang out. game is in wilmington off of 93 and game starts at 6pm/doors open at 5pm. i always get there early.. like some kind of fanatic. if things get done with early enough you guys should caravan down to the game.

My old 02 WRX put down almost those same exact numbers at stage 2 about a little over a year ago up there at TDC. Odd because the dyno was calibrated in April or May of '06 and supposedly read lower but apparently not.

214hp - 244lb/ft of torque on my Legacy! Hot damn! The hp # isn't a surprise, but that torque, sheesh!

I was impressed with the numbers on my car as well, 225HP and 222ft/lb of torque. Definitely had a blast and I've got a video of my car on the dyno but thats about all.

I'd assume we could probably expect them today, or possibly tomorrow if they're busy. :)

Thanks for setting this up. With exams (including one that morning) I was only able to stop by for an hour. I was glad I got to see the Chevy on the dyno - I really thought that monster was going to wheelie right through the wall.

Yep! The only performance "mod" I've done (if you could call it that) is to remove the airbox silencer, which might, at most, net me .00002 hp. ;)

Enginuity's latest logger defs have short term and learned AFR correction for the 2007 STi. They've been available for a while now.

All of these numbers are on that car...

TDC Tuned Stage 2 - 319 whp (TDC L&S Dynomite)

DSG Tuned w/ SZ55 - 360 whp (DSG dyno dynamics)

TDC dyno'd after DSG tuned SZ55 - 312 whp (TDC L&S Dynomite)

Something has to be wrong. And it was not the TDC calibration b/c I dyno'd very close to my Pro Tune numbers (18" rim weight stole 15whp) from a year earlier.

Im not trying to make friction. I love the guys at DSG, I sport the decal, ive had work done, i used to live down the street from Louis.

It's just weird for a car to dyno 360 whp on a low reading dyno and then read 312 on a higher reading dyno.

yeah its weird. I guess the 07 ecu just pulls timing after a couple runs. The new ECU's are very tricky. None of DSG's fault. They know there stuff, I watched the tuned, The ECU's sucketh.

actually you are quite wrong in your assumptions

The 07 ecu is relatively easy to tune i do at least 1-2 a week
If you tune them the way they are designed to work they actually work quite well...

As witnessed by the 320+ whp pump gas tune (ACN 91)
and the 350 whp 95 octane tune i did a few weeks ago (same car)
You also need to know HOW the ecu works before you can accurately tune the car

Hence the reason TDC's tune ran a 12.4 @ NED and made 310+ on pump gas (on matt's car)

I told mike i would help with cars for lift time WHICH HE AGREEEEEED. ALSO please refund me for the injectors YOU said were PLENTY big, and ran out of fuel at ****ing 19 psi. after saying i would take them, mike proceeded to try to "mod the stockers" and ruined those (money again gone). SWEET! TIME WELL SPENT AT TDC ONCE AGAIN!!

The car ran absolutley AWESOME when you tuned it stock turbo. I am not at all saying differently. It was perfect. but once the big turbo went on, and supp. mods. it went to ****.

But Then i went to a place that actually knew cars. (If a cars fuel pump wasnt working, wouldnt you first look for a blown fuse before ripping the car apart and taking the pump out, swapping, testing, then checking fuses? LOL) AND NOW, the car runs absolutely amazing!

The tune was never finished, fouled plugs, then you popped a hose and ran out of gas. You told me you thought our wideband was broken and went to DSG.

When I asked you about the money at the dynoday you shrugged and said you had to deposit money in the bank? Seemed ok with paying then, but money was short. :confused: You also asked for my paypal twice because you intended to send money.

The lift time was used when we installed your springs. (lift time off peak)

Spring install = $150
Your turbo, pump, and injectors were installed during normal working hours.

I have made 400+whp on our dyno with 816cc's, 742cc is not much smaller, they should be good for about 375+whp by comparison unless the car is tuned silly rich. I would accept the injectors as payment, and I'd even finish the tune. The injectors worked just fine, it was just rich under boost do to a leak.

Further more, if you think I'm a poor tuner, then why did you ask Tyler if I would tune your EVO a few days ago? :huh:

The wideband didnt seem to read right (reading 14.1, but actually blowing out rich up top) we tried 6 times! i couldnt wait any longer!! the very next day i went to DSG so i could have it tuned. I could barely drive the damn thing! thats all. If the dyno was reading correctly i would have been perfectly fine with your tune! The car was checked over, the plugs were never changed, and we ended up making 350 at dsg at 11.1 AFR. I didnt think it was your tune AT ALL. I thought it was the dyno, and you said it would take a week for a new wideband sensor and I just couldnt wait anymore! But i never did say you couldnt tune. Tyler will tell that one.

As for the money, I really didnt think you were going to charge me, Then this whole mix up happened, and i figured you were pissed at me. Then once you asked me i didnt want to say anything in front of 20 other NESIC members, so i said yah i guess...

I'm not trying to start anything, I liked hangin out there, and helping out. I dont think you canT tune. Your more than capable. why do you think I STILL TELL PEOPLE TO GO THERE!:confused:

Ecutek and Cobb have worked with us at The Shop to sort out a lot of issues in the o07 ecu stock roms

The results with Ecutek and Cobb pro tune are superior

Either way I highly doubt the car will be as fast as it was on our tune. :banana:

Thats at 43.5 psi fuel pressure, at 20psi boost your car should have close to 60psi fuel pressure.

I don't care where your car is tuned, but you can't go around expecting free service from everyone.

funny enough it did, 2007 pistons are weaker than prev. years. But Al and Jimmy (the owner of The shop) came and picked up the car, And have it ripped apart already. NO CHARGE for work. They backed up their work, and im greatful for it. Now, CP pistons and such will be in, and more power will be at hand.

And as for dent sport...We tried 4 times to tune with open ecu...No success. I paid 500 the first time, 350 the second (as well as charged me for a hallman PRO MBC, but was actually a hallman RX that couldnt even hold more than 20 psi, Which also froze up) and then the third time i drove down (2 hours one way BTW) you said you had no idea what was wrong, and it MUST be the parts... BUT again i dyno 312 at tdc? Anyways, All is over, Money was wasted, ALL done
